Young midfielder Matt Bailey has gone out on trial to Burton Albion and has by all accounts done well in the two games he has played for them in pre-season, one in his favoured central midfield position and one where he slotted in at full back.

He is with Nigel Clough's side for the remainder of pre-season and they have a chance to take him on loan at the start of the season if they so wish.

Bailey had a spell on loan at Kidderminster, also in the Blue Square Premier, last season.

Should Burton choose not to take him, it will be interesting to see where that leaves his Wolves career.

Let's hope he does well. You never know how much he might progress with a few games under his belt.

Mark Salmon is the best of the current crop, so I hear, with Kyle Bennett streets ahead of everyone in his age group.

He was good at Chasetown, but I was equally impressed with our two fullbacks - Melbourne and Malone.

Indeed. I'd like to see loan deals for Salmon, Bennett, Melbourne and Malone. 4 players who look very promising.
