Er Del - I cant see 18 threads mate... but it seems like he has been on the show already as they just played a clip of MM talking about Sepp Blatter...

MM praised Iwelumo, slated Blatter especially in regards to when he was Ireland manager and suggested all players got 12 month contracts instead of multi-year ones.

Surely some mention of his burning desire to bring in as many CB's as he's got strikers? Some of them 'pacy'?

Looks like Iwelumo/SEB partnership upfront against Plymouth then ;)

The E&S had TalkSPORT on.

Good for Mick. It is often easy to forget that he was a respected international manager. There could well be a number of english clubs managers' who will support his comments. How much longer does Mr Blatter have in his job?

E&S
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has hit out at FIFA chief Sepp Blatter’s ‘slaves’ comments and demanded all players be given one year contracts.

Well I listened to the interview and MM did not demand all players had one year contracts, he merely suggested it would be a good idea.

What a load of bull from the E&S.

WTF???

I expect the Parry and Brazil couldn't wait to ask Mick about "the find of last season"

Who would that be then? I hope you're not referring to the non-existent quote about Stephen Ward, to which no-one can find a link on the whole of the internet.

Deutsch, surely you know by know that if a lie's said on here often enough, it becomes fact.

It was "one of the finds of his managerial career". But there was no direct quotation.

The source below.

Another example of the sensationalist reporting in the E&S that is considered by the ill-informed masses as fact, and then used as a further stick with which to beat the manager.

To misquote John Ford's The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence:

"This is the Wolves sir. When the lie becomes fact, print the lie."

The curious thing is that those masses actually go easy on Mick by making him "find of the season" rather than of "his managerial career".

Agreed. How can the E&S justify putting that slant on it. It's one thing making it up when they get an exclusive interview but alot of fans would have heard the interview. Makes you wonder whether to believe anything they print. I get the the paper delivered but am starting to wonder if I should cancel it.

Agreed.

There's plenty other bigger, more relevant sticks to beat him with.
