Firstly may I apologise if this is not the right forum, but I desperately need the help of some cunning minds. Every year I have a bet with a Leeds fan at work and every year I lose, only £10.00 but the bragging rights are more important. Last season it was the number of points (I added back their 15 point deduction). This season I need a bet to level the playing field, as I think they may do well point wise. I have considered our leading scorer beating theirs and comments on that would be useful, but can anyone think of a bet that I might actually win. I am prepared for the facetious suggestions, but just give me a chance to rub his nose in it this time next year.

Highest overall league position. You're a shoe-in.

Least goals scored.

Most goals conceeded.

First manager sacked.

Who finishes lower in their league, or as a run on from that, first team to miss out on the play-offs (by date or games played).

A bit of a toughie this one. Don't do anything that involves relative on the pitch success unless you phase in the league difference. Off the field for any other League 1 team you could do average attendance, but they'd probably still beat us. Just steer clear.

Maybe number of players in team of season/top 50 actim index? That would compensate for them being $$$$e!

Least scummy club?

1st Manager to get sacked would be the one for me

Jermaine Beckford to leave Leeds before Sylvan Ebanks-Blake leaves Wolves.

Same bet with Jonny Howson and Michael Kightly.

Mate plays for Leeds and during our Holiday earlier this month he mentioned a few interesting things - I'd go for the Beckford to leave Leeds before SEB leaves us.

The bet does need to run over the season, so players leaving etc would not do. surely someone can come up with something we can beat Leeds at, even with the league difference. How about the least number of red cards?

How many other sets of fans hates your team. A shoe in for us as more teams hate Leeds than hate Man United.

When they're doing well they'd beat us all hands down. The original Glory Hunters. When they were $$$$e in our League they couldn't GIVE their tickets away yet they could've sold out Wembley on their own for the Play Off Final. $$$$ed it down with tears when they lost though. :D

Precisely why I chose the Star (God knows, it wouldn't be for any other reason).

It's not a contest between the Star and the Post. It's a straight competition of which team is more often mentioned in the Express and Star. They don't even have to be favourable mentions (Wolves would lose if they did).

Sorry mate a bit of a whoosh moment there. Leeds fans would want to counter it though.

you'd expext Leeds to walk that division this year, if so their attendance will average 30,000, i'd go for points with say, a 15 point handicapp
