...by their kits, or more specifically, by their kit manufacturers?

Had an interesting conversation with my 7 year old today in the car.

We were talking about if he wanted the new kit -home or away- for the summer, when he said that he wished Nike made our kits because it meant we would be a 'big team' like Man Utd or Arsenal.

Coming from a little boy, he kind of said it as it is- if Nike or Adidas make your kit the club is 'cool'- if Puma or Umbro make your kit the club is 'not too bad.'

He said LCS was 'OK' but he wished someone better made our kits .

How do you, or your children, feel about having the same for the next 2 years.

My lad ain't too impressed.

Not quite on the same tack but when was the last time Wolves were "cool" to anyone but a Wolves fan?

Don't know that we were as brand conscious when I was a kid. All I can remember mattering was that I had the old gold top!

Wish the merchandise was better quality/value for money but don't care who makes it.

Don't Smallsall wear Nike?

The first strip I had circa 1956 was "Bukta"

its matters a lot even to young kids , its all about street cred , my boy also mentioned that he wished we had nike as our supplier , most of the stuff in the club shops are over priced tat and i wish the club would do something about it

Kids are well into their labels.

I just wish Ben Sherman made the wolves shirts!

Lacoste anyone???
I'd prefer our kits to be made by a better brand because lets face it given the choice would you pick le coq over nike? and also nike and adidas dont produce cheap tat like le coq and their other merchandise is quite nice too aswell as the kit.

I know they are- to my cost :o.

It is just very interesting to see how people perceive a team, their kits, and hence their image- which is phenominally important in a marketing perspective.

DAKS

Must admit I do alternate my shirts between Lauren and Daks and have a couple of particularly nice Daks suits.

So yes would go with Daks.;)
