I used to be chief pantwetter, but no more!

Some of you really need to get a grip. I had a really good day yesterday and it was only slightly spoiled by watching the Wolves game. Maybe it's the people that I see on matchday, it can't possibly be that I'm an optimist.

I met up with some terrific people yesterday and the only thing that we had in common before we knew each other was that we were all Wolves fans. I would even go so far as to call them my friends (I hope that none of them would mind being called my friend).

I will be back when I can go again, some of the people that I saw will be back when their health allows and some are back every week. That is what it's now all about for me, enjoy it FFS.

Well said. It isn't a religion.

Sorry rain man but I cannot agree.I take my football very serious and whilst not a religion I am very passionate about it.

I'm pleased ID can enjoy the day but we are all different and I do not enjoy watching that rubbish lacking commitment, idea or passion.

You mean like those evangellists that get you to hand your money over with the promise of wonderfull things in return smileys/smiley2.gif

I think the point ID is making is that it is only a game of football
that's there to be enjoyed but it shouldn't be something that effects
you so much that it makes you angry and upset.

I think sometimes people over react to the point where it becomes a bit of a problem, for them.

It would be interesting to know how many Wolves fans would prefer an Abramovic to come in and spend 300M over a self funding (to a certain extent) club with genuine aspirations but not much chance of achieving them

.....or would it ?

Unfortunately, while I respect your passion because I've got some of it too, I have to say that self destruction is not part of my plan. We are where we are. Pessimism ,sack cloth and ashes isn't going to achieve promotion for Wolves. I want to see more solutions from you not ifs, maybes and truncheons.

HGW, I've given what I felt would be a solution long long ago mate. The club have failed to act this season just like they did last and the one before that. I am powerless to do anythin about the clubs ineptitude as an individual bt the fans will eventually have a say in what happens when they start staying away in their droves.

..and it is that part which has been concerning me for a few years now, the writing has been on the wall and many of us predicting that it would happen. Well it has started and once people break the habit of coming it will be very hard to get them back. We offer supporters little enough already. No involvement in the club, mixed messages filled with promises and little delivery, massive ticket price hikes, massive food and drink price hikes, being insulted by the CEO if you show disapproval and boring matches with Hoddle saying there could be more to come.

The alienation of the supporters is already well established and the growing gap between club and fans the worst it has ever been (with the exception of the Bhatti era of course).

Can you repeat that for the benefit of those who missed it in the sack Dave Jones tirades. If you had anything to say you would have just said it, not excused yourself because you can't remember what you said incoherently a long long time ago.

You are verging on the political there, drumming up the rabble. I don't give a tinkers toss about ticket prices rises which to my mind were playing catch up season ticket wise and have remained almost static for individual ticket purchases. Food and drink - by the time I've been to the bog at half time it is too late and they've probably run out anyway. There must be 1000 other food and drink outlets in Wolverhampton that I can choose from before and after the game. The CEO registering a complaint about vitriolic retoric aimed at OUR players has my full support. What precisely do these so called followers want ? A self fulfilling prophesy of failure in their lives ?

That is entirely in your view and I would guess your prefered view. How do you claim that majority ?

Wolves supporters have always moaned but why make that attitude a hinderence ?Edited by: HazelGroveWolf

Aaaggggghhhh, it's 5.25 a.m. and I'm up for work. Isn't life terrible? I hate work and Wolves are rubbish.

On the plus side, I see that Newcastle are up to 14th place after their first win of the season and Arsenal are only 12 points behind Chelsea with 2 games in hand.
