I have not seen many of the Aussie fans on here lately. They are great
at dishing it out when they are winning then the cowards run off and
hide when they are losing. I would love Clayton Wolf to come and
run us through some of the finer points of the Ashes series and explain
to us how his unbeatable Aussies bottled it as soon as someone stood up
to them.<!--

Yes, what a stroke of genius! Employ a South African to stand up to the Australians, we must put these minor countries of the Empire in their place. smileys/smiley36.gif

Two South Africans and an Australian. The lad from Preston did not do bad though.smileys/smiley2.gifsmileys/smiley2.gif

Duncan Fletcher was a Zimbabwean of two English parents and four English grandparents. He is now to be justifiably re-nationalised.

And if they beat us down there he's a foreigner again
HGW,
I was thinking of the batsman actually. smileys/smiley17.gif

I knowand by the same token I am happy with Pieterson and Jones. They have chosen their loyalties and comply with the rules for qualification.
KP hasaEnglish mother and Jones has Welsh parents.
I doubt if many of us could describe ourselves as pure unless you suggest that eugenics might provide the solution.smileys/smiley11.gif

jones was born in Wales of Welsh parents - he just happened to grow up in Toowoomba, QLD after they emigrated when he was 5.
Pietersen's mother was born in Cambridge.
As an aside, no wonder the convict Wolves fans are quiet. Imagine ashes humiliation followed up with the shower being served up by Hoddles men at the moment. They have probably all been sectioned.

Boo PW out.
No facts please we have to stick to the sneering we only won it with foriegners story. It denegrates the win you see, and that has to be done.

thank you for correcting me, IMAB - I shall try harder

don't forget it works with rugby too. England wouldn't have got through the RWC QF against Wales without the intervention of Mike Catt, born in South AfricaEdited by: paddingtonwolf
The (w) anchor on ssn yesterday made the same sneering Pieterson jibe when they were on about the tour party for Pakistan.
TBF though he is a jock, so it's to be expected. Sick of hearing the English say it.
there were not many aborigines in the aussie side ?smileys/smiley4.gif

Thought this might flush a few out but they realy are quiet. They are never this quiet when they won.
As an aside my wifes cousin emigrated about 35 years ago and came back
from Tassy to watch the first two tests. He was in Merv Hughes party
and became Merv's card playing partner while he was over here. He
reckoned that the Aussies did not rate Hoggard or Giles and planned to
expose them and that Pietersen was strongly disliked in the England
dressing room.
I was pretty sick to find a Willenhall boy supporting the Aussie
cricket team but I am glad to say that he still retained his allegiance
to the boys in Gold and Black. I took him to the Palace game and he
loved it.
