O/T computer problem

hi when i put a dvd film or a pc game in my drive it spins for a few seconds,then stops.I double click on the application and it says no disk please insert disk.
Could it be that the laser needs cleaning or has it gone?
My computer is just over 12 months old. surely it couldn't have gone yet,the only time it plays really is when i get football manager out.

You could try uninstalling the drive and let windows find it again after re-starting

I have had cd roms last 3 months and die. Try some air in a can into the drive when its open.

Trying cleaning the disc and re-insert. Probably just a dust problem. smileys/smiley2.gif
