Not only at the result but the shambolic way Wolves fans were treated when exiting Molineux. Made to go out of our way to let those Albion ***** out.

I've seen an old guy in his 70's walk up muddy slopes and climb railings just so he could get back to his car.

Its our ground, make them $$$$in wait. Thousands of Wolves fans going out of their way in all sorts of conditions. $$$$in disgrace.

Through the subway, turn right....then they force you down by the Civic and block off the footpath going DOWN the dual carriageway away from the ground on the exact opposite of the stadium to where there's likely to be any trouble? Why?
Women and kids were forced to climb fences to get back onto the footpath.
There were fans walking UP the same footpath from the SouthBank end and squeezing through the police lines.

Fan: "What's the point of this, there are people behind you walking up the same footpath, why are you stopping people getting back to their cars.
Copper :" I'm not going to explain myself"
Fan: "Because you've got no explanation. You ridiculous $$$$$$$ers cause more trouble than you stop"

Copper: "you wanna shut it before you get nicked"
Fan: "how you gonna do that from behind that big metal fence?"

i think i heard the same conversation!! what $$$$ed me off the most was that they held the trams back for their fans, so i had to walk 4 mile home. Why is everything always catered to help them???

An absolute farce. It was embarassing seeing frail old men effectively having to do a limbo dance to get under the railings. Although it was quite funny being forced to take the shortcut past the student's halls of residence with a security alarm constantly blasting out "this is a restricted area."

Shambles, utter and complete shambles. I went to a line of coppers and asked if we could just slip in front of them because we had been herded into a part of the car park completely enclosed with barriers and Loafing Wolf was on crutches. The big lardy one said, see that woman along the line, ask her which I did and she said I dont know I need to speak to the Chief Super'.

I ask you!

Then when we finall found a way through the only way we could go was miles from where we had parked and through what looked like the grounds of a Halls of Residence, over muddy paths and lawns and finally up a steep muddy bank and under another barrier. Imagine that on crutches in the dark.

If it wasnt for a couple helping us up (thanks very much if your on here) we might still be there.

I thought of complaining to West Midlands Police, but whats the point?

The wolves fans struggling to get up the muddy bank the other side of the subway at least brought a smile to my face, it was like the travelator at the end of Gladiators. The funny thing was if they just walked round to the side there was a concrete path that would have taken them to the same place.

Mate in the Albion end had to get a train home rather than the lift they arranged as they were escorted to the station and not allowed to leave. I know it seems to stop the trouble but surely there are better ways to do it?

Best one i heard "no wonder everyone $$$$ing hates you".

The best speech I heard was "don't you think anybody lives north of Wolverhampton" not said by myself although obviously I do. If it wasn't for years of going to Molineux I would have been totally lost & isolated. As it was my mate had to wait 10 minutes til I got back to his car.

Same at the Hawthorns last season when we were hearded onto the Metro and not allowed to get off until it got to Wolverhampton. All well and good unless you needed to get off in Bilston...

It wasn't handled very well. Surely the amount of people going through the subway at the same time was a Health & Safety risk. I said it to a copper and he called me stupid I replied "Well at least I'm not a pig!"

Had the same at the station, line of riot cops & almost missed the last train back to London.

I've sent an email to Wolves to let them know my experience and feelings about it, and to ask the whether there were any more tactical plans by the police for the Cardiff game. If there is I wont be going to that one

I love it when they get a comeback their arrogance/assertiveness training hasn't prepared them for.

I'd hazzard a guess that it'll be a similar scenario even though Cardiff won't fetch all that many will they?

The policing was completely over the top. The town centre was a ghost town in late afternoon. We managed to get a pint in a town centre pub which was closing at 4.30 - as were most pubs.

This is a brief summary of what the police had said to the landlord, where there had been no football related trouble during the last 5 years.

WMP: Are you opening on Tuesday?
landlord: yes
WMP: How may doormen have you got?
landlord: 3
WMP: You'll need 6. How many bar staff have you got?
landlord: 3
WMP: You'll need 6. How many plastic glasses have you got?
landlord: none.
WMP: You can't serve beer unless it's in a plastic glass. We'll have a van outside and if we see someone we don't like the look of we'll nick him and shut you down for 48hours. But feel free to open if you like.

The Clarendon was open but had 2 or 3 vans parked outside it all evening, at a pub rammed full of wolves fans. Maybe the intimidation makes them feel good.

It seems like there were many similar stories all over town last night.

And there was me thinking that we were the home team.

Brought a Gers fan to the match. He was amazed by the over Policing which was reminiscent of "Old Firm" 10 years ago.

The coppers just haven't got a clue. They over-police, won't listen, just want to dictate. My old man's girlfriend (in her 70s) used to be married to a copper and you wouldn't believe the stuff she comes out with about football fans: they are all rabble, all drunk, and all they want to do is fight - all this direct quotes from her late husband, and treated as gospel. Neither he nor she have ever been to a football match in their lives. But that's the mentality: know-it-all ignoramuses making a public show of acting tough, with carte-blanche from the politicians to dictate everything from whether the pubs can open to what time the kick off is.
