am i the only one here who thinks no one is going to pay what we want for camara and he will go for a lot less than we want around £1.5m or he will be back with us next week after spain,

i realy think he will be back training with us next week to test the water, then if they get a load of hassle they will let him go, as i am sure teams have bid but only £1.5m mark, they will see what happens then let him go when it goes nasty.

I reckon he will go to bolton or pompey,

He'll go for whatever we want. We don't need to sell him, and if he spent a few weeks training with the kids and playing in the reserves, he'd soon buck his ideas up.

Im hoping that by the time he's due back for training, Camara wont be
part of the picture, but we'll have to see what develops. Maybe we
could sell him to Lens? I think the club need a flash of inspiration....

isnt this exactly what people were saying about miller when he went on the transfer list? and we are gonna get nowt but a miserable whinging $$$$$ on the pitch all season again.

we will not get what we want because who wants a sulker who jumps ship when it goes wrong and cannot score anyway? camara is not worth 4-5m as he is being quoted, the only people who think he is worth this is wolves fans, ask a southampton or celtic fan if they would pay a million for him,

Stan Cutlass

No-ones bid for him, so who knows if we'll get 1.5m, 2m?... i just think no-one really wants him now. One thing we know with Willie McKay is that he'll spin the living snot out of any interest... and he's said nout in 2 weeks now

Good call on shipping him back to France, give them something else to be miserable about after losing out on the Olympics. I too hope he's gone, however the facts are that if he is still here, he's here very much on our terms. We've no need to cave in and accept the firstbid.

Edit: I missed your razor-sharp wit on the first read, Vis. Bit of a negative for me, but I hope to develop in the future.Edited by: Deutsch Wolf

Miller scored 19 goals last season and always put in 100% effort, in case you didn't notice. The Miller and Camara scenarios are in no way similar.

and still wants to leave thats what he cares,

miller went on the list bevause he didnt want to play on the wing, so after playing all season as first choice striker he still wants to leave, whats the difference they both want to leave to go to the premier league, camara done it the wrong way but that was his agent, but both want to leave us.

you may want to hang me for it, but i think glen and ince should try and get him to stay. with the glimpses of the camarat-cort partnership we saw at the tail end of our premiership season, i'd say that partnership would rip this division to pieces. And £20m for going up is worth more than the £1.5m we'd get for him. Every one would be a winner. Camara would be seen to be a bit less of anumpty than everybody thinks he is, he'd be in the shop window, we'd get a fantastic Championship striker, and finish as champions.. Thats why i think. please don't hurt me.....

i think your true i think he will come back to test the water and to be fair we all saw enough of him to know what he could do and would do in this league, and it is the same as miller why take 1.5m if he can get us up?

I see what you're saying, but i'd rather use him as an impact player
against tired defenses for the last 20 mins....he's too erratic to be
used as a main striker, but i think he'd get enough chances late on to
stand a good chance of scoring.

Of course it wont be needed, as we'll probably be 4 or 5 up by that stage most weeks.....

As each days passes by where no one shows any real interest in HC he will surely start to realsie and then accept he is not the fantastic be all and end all player he believes he is.

Wolves hold all the trump cards at this time and HC needs to seek some good advice and soon because life out of the picture will do him no good at all.

Better to look a great player in the Championship then be a forgotten trouble maker in the reserves.

According to todays E&S.......

"Henri has been given some extra time off like Seyi Olofinjana and won't be rejoining us until June 11," said Moxey"

Thats strange..June 11th was my birthday and I thought it had gone already!! E&S must be using the Gregorian secular MkII calender. Or Moxey is a month behind on his press releases.

Markwolf

Playhim on the right side of a three pronged attack or as a right sided winger. He has pace to burn and we have seen he can make chances for himself. Sticking them away though..............But his pace will always cause problems, and if we keep everone else we have an awesome array of attacking options.

Essex Wolf
06-07-2005, 15:41
Haven't read that yet Grizz but if right then it seems that yet again the E&S embarrass themselves with more shoddy reporting. Only a month out hey but are you really surprised?

.

I believe that HC actually lives in his own world created by
influential advisors (agent) and a concerned well-wisher (his uncle)...
thus the 'real' world is a confusing mess of footballing teams/managers
who tell him to use his pace and run at the opposition to cause them a
bit of bother and score a goal if he can.

He does this for a while and then finds he has to go somewhere else but
all the time the big bad wolves are waiting for him... I wonder if he
wonders what's actually going on... I know I do.

There's been worse at the Wolves for £1.7M. I think this African Player of the yearnonsense was all engineered to get him a move.

If he stays i dont see it as disaster becausehe'll improve the team, whether he plays out on the wing or up front with Cort again. If Moxey can offload him and bring in somebody better then everybodys happy.

Tonights local paper for the WM(not the Evening mail the other one) says HC is back training on monday. Even Willy Mckay says he will be back , but expects him to be gone by the transfer window.Thats maybe 6 weeks as a Wolves player.

Question: Should we play him in those 6 weeks?

depends if they realistically think theyll get shot of him or not before the window closes.

If he does come back and play for Wolves, how do you think the crowd will react to him in his opening home game? If his reception is less than cordial and continues that way do you think he will be able to handle it psychologically?

Camara Set to Face the Music
By Martin Swain and Tim Nash
Henri Camara will report for training at Molineux on Monday - a year after going on strike to force his exit from Wolves
Agent Willie McKay today ruled out thoughts of a last-minute deal preventing Camara from facing up to a return to the club he refused to train or play for following relegation from the Premiership
Camara is still determined to have Premiership football next season and McKay, who had orginally predicted a permanent transfer out of Wolves a fortnight ago, still believes he will his way before the August 31 transfer deadline.
But in the meantime Camara will have to return to the dressing room left unimpressed by his antics a year ago - and could even figure in one of the four pre-season friendlies next week.
"He will report back on Monday - he has no choice in the matter" said McKay today. "A deal by the transfer window closure? Thats up to Jez Moxey and Glenn Hoddle. But I forsee HC will be leaving Wolves before August 31. However he has no problem in training with Wolves or going back to Wolverhampton. It's his job they are his employers. The problme is playing in the Championship. In Senegal, people only see you play in the Premiership"
Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey was hoping for a breakthrough in selling Camara - still the clubs priority - but will be sticking out for a valuation in the region of £3m.

No Wolves player has ever done what Camara did last season , he is a pathetic excuse of a man and he should never play in a Wolves shirt again....

I hope he's off too, mate, but if he is still around, I'll deal with it. I'm certainly not going to stop doing something I love because of that beaver. I won't chant his name, I won't ever forgive him, but at the end of the day, you could put my 11least favourite playersin the Wolves team, I'd still watch them play. For what it's worth, I'd be surprised if he's still here come the opening day.

Davebull

Whilst I think he will go as a makeweight in a Charlton transfer ( Euell or Jeffers ) I would love to see him in this league and playing for us as his pace will simply be far too much for anyone to live with.

I can see he has done wrong in the way he has gone about things but I honestly feel the hatred that some Wlves fans have of him is just way over the top.

Simply put, we will be a better team with him in it and that is good enough for me. I am man enough to forgive and forget if it means the good of the team. Certainly not willing to cut off nose to spite my face as some would seem quite happy to do.

McKay seems to have met his match this year doesnt he, whether that is because Camara does not have quite the reputation he did or becaue Wolves management have taken a harder line or because in Hoddle and the team we just look like a better proposition I dont know. What however is clear is that if we are not willing to sell Miller with one year left on his contract for 1.something millon then Camara with two years aint going anywhere for less than 3. and with Peter Crouch moving clubs at 8 million, who can blame us.

If he is back and the goals flow then nooone will care about the past.I just hope that if that does happen then he is given an opportunity to make up for what he has done.

( I dont think he will stay though so this is all probably a mute point anyway ! )

Stan Cutlass
08-07-2005, 20:17
They'd be cutting their nose off to spite their face if they purposely didnt play him. It also makes business sense to get the guy match fit, as it makes him a more sellable proposition - however, by doing that they run the risk of him getting injured and potentially not being picked up before the transfer deadline.

At least we're guaranteed something interesting to chat about Monday / Tuesday with the Hednesford game and this!

Looks like people in Senegal will be waiting a long time to see the African Player of the Year in waiting then.

I'm in agreement with the last posts of Deutsch and Davebull on this one and always have been....

As a player he will add much needed pace to our side and if he did end up playing i'd deal with it and actually be glad that HC the player is in our side....On the other hand he has been a total beaver in the way he went about things last season, if he had turned up for training and gone about his business as Kenny Miller has then any animosity towards him would be zilch...
