Afternoon folks,

All this talk of Miller & Corts' sales value against their potential goals contribution got me thinking (shocking, I know). The general view seems to be that in order to be in the mix for the top two spots you have to score 80+ goals.

So, where are these going to come from with the current squad?

Here's my prediction:

25 - Miller

18 - Cort

13 - Vio

11 - Seol

6 - Ricketts

Misc others (other players, OG's, etc) - 15

Total - 88. Sorted smileys/smiley4.gif No need to sell then smileys/smiley2.gif

Whadda ya think?

If Vio were to play regularly, I think he'd get far more than 13. However, if the Miller/Cort partnership continues, that's not a bad prediction, with Vio as an impact player from the bench. Depends what type of midfielder we sign as well.

Iwould probably say if we stick with what we have.

miller - 19

cort - 15

ganea - 10

seol - 7

rickets - 7

all of rest - 20

78 goals for but we will let in a lot less than usual as we have a defnsive unit that works well now.

i dont think ganea will play much only come on as sub, and miller and cort will get about the same as last year, i have only put down leage goals,

George will repay the faith Wolves have shown in him by tearing apart the league and knocking in 39 by christmas. He will then break his leg on boxing day against Reading, only to return and score the winner in late April to win us the league.smileys/smiley32.gif

Or never kick a ball for us againsmileys/smiley19.gif

39by Xmas eh? Think you're being a little too pessimistic, matey! smileys/smiley2.gif

It does make you wonder what this current squad can achieve ifmost players reach their potential and stay relatively injury-free.

However the injury-free thing just isn't going to happen smileys/smiley6.gif, althoughin terms of potentialit looks like Glenn knows what their capabilities are and how to bring the best out of 'em.

This is a good question (which I will now bend) sales value Vs goals scored. If we do not sell Miller and Cort, and get the goals that take us up, does it matter if Miller goes for free? We lose 1.5 mill by not selling him but could Wolves buy a 20 goal a season striker for that money. It would be better that Miller would stay with us for the season (he has been trying hard and will want to perform to get the best price for himself) and hopefully we get promoted.

Fully agree, Glasto. I'd rather weprofit fromhis proven Championship pedigreeto go up and then let him go for free (as a thank you smileys/smiley2.gif) when we get back there. Or, if we feel he can do a job in the Prem (this is still in debate due tohis limited opportunities last time), offer him another contract.

£25m - £35m extra revenue for promotion, or £1.5m from Miller's sale this summer?? It could yet be the most critical decision the club makes this summer.

Oh there's always one person who has to takethe seriousness out of the debate. smileys/smiley2.gif

You should take a leaf out of IMAB's book with his 40-goal Ndah contribution!! smileys/smiley36.gif

The only time 40 and Ndah go side by side is when talking about the possible total number of games his ever played for Wolves and to me even 40 seems high.smileys/smiley2.gif

All of them will be 70 yard runs past the whole of the opposition ala Preston.
