View Full Version : What can we do better?

As fans we constantly point out the failings of the team and management and suggest what they could do to improve, but what could we do better as fans?
- don't boo during play
- don't sarcastically cheer substitutions
- be more vocal even when we are being given nothing to cheer
- arrive earlier for games and try to get the atmosphere going quicker, we are generally slow starters and we could help 'wake up' the players prior to kick-off. It would also help to be in full voice before the opposition fans have got going, we all our opponents a foothold in the game both on and off the pitch before we are in full swing
- research the opposition team so as to find any potential weak links in the side who may be affected by some barracking.
- get our kids going to games and breed the next generation of fans
- support our youth/reserve team in higher numbers
- go to training sessions
- be proud of our colours, it would be nice to see the whole crowd in gold and black
- sing positive songs about our players, especially when we can see their struggling
Forget all the 'well if they played better' or 'if MM wasn't thick, regardless of the manager or team, what as fans can we do better which will have a positive effect to the atmosphere at Molineux?

Cheer the players ON the pitch! I sit in the Family Enclosure ... it was a disgrace on Saturday that younger fans were booing AK and chanting for FE. Let's support the boys not barrack them!

What you drinking?
Watch the Youth? You will have to travel all over England, our managers sent them out on loan.
Also why should grown men/women wear replica strips? You'll be asking us all to have a Wolves Tramp Stamp tattoo next!

Quite simply, it is a more enjoyable experience to attend a game if a positive atmosphere is generated.

I agree.

Funny how there are so few replies to this one! Well said wanderer24 - a very good post!
We can do all of that plus a lot more besides! We can stop all negativity at Molineux, cheer MM (as we did last season and some of the early part of this season), sing songs more regularly, barrack and try to intimidate every opposition player instead of intimidating our own players, get behind our players when they make a mistake so that they feel our confidence in them so that they constantly try and be creative or (dare i say it) entertain us, make Molineux (our house!) a place that is full of enthusiasm and encouragement for our team...when was the last time there was noise at Molineux for 90 minutes?? I can't remember. But you know what, it takes effort to make noise, we need to make more of an effort for our team, for our reputation as fans to be feared, fans to be respected, fans to be recognised as the best in the League! Thats what we would like! In all honesty, and its difficult to say and admit to but we are not that at the moment, and we can do so much better!

Wanderer 24 asked a stupid question so it deserved a stupid answer.
I think us, the fans do a great job. We pay the wages of the underperforming, overpaid primadonnas. What more can be asked of us?
Time for some payback if anything.

So basically you have no interest whatever in supporting the Wolves you just want to be able to pay money and then criticise a group of young men giving their all.
Can't say I'm surprised.

It's always funny to puncture the pompous and self righteous, but of course they will never see the funny side of it.

You're the stupid on Highlander, because you miss the point completely. Forget who's manager, who's playing, whats happened in the past and how the club has failed us time and time again; look in the mirror at your performance as a fan of this once great club and think about what extra can you do to improve our fortunes. When the team is struggling to make an impact, the noise is dying down and the opposition is getting a foothold in the game, would it not help if we motivated ourselves to get behind the team once again as opposed to getting frustrated and moaning about individual mistakes.
We can all raise our game, and what a difference it would make if 20,000 of us did it all at the same time.

what a difference 11 players playing attacking football would make!! id really get behind them then, i want to see wolves in the opposition half most of the game at home attacking, funnily enough this is how most goals are scored, maybe thats why we havent scored many goals.
