QPR have just signed a £20m 5 year deal with Lotto for their New Kit. I would suggest that only two promotion places will be available next year.

too right. Its not as if they needed the extra 20m to begin with! The Chelsea of the Championship.

Yeah QPR are making very big noises In the football world. How much do Wolves get from Chaucer?

A lot less than 4mill a year I should imagine!

In the Hayward traditional all deals at Molineux were carried out in old money..

Three Shillings and sixpence;)

I will have £10 with anybody (up to 5 takers only, I’ve seen some mug get done for over a ton on Olofingay…) that QPR don’t finish in the top 2 next season.

Absolutely, because we went up every year we were the richest team in the division didn't we?

I think their problem will be that they may have money burning a hole in their pockets, but trying to get Prem-quality players to play for you before you get into the Prem seems to be very difficult.

Its a good deal for them - but the £20m figure only happens IF they clinch promotion, they aint releasing the figures for if they don't....

Still, as others have said its not as if they'll be short of money. Mind you, you could have said that about Wolves for most of the last 20 years in this division.

It's all down to the managements judgement of a player. They can flex their muscles all they like in the transfer market but they've got to buy the right players to succeed in this league.

Depends if you utilise the money correctly and wisely.

Also - being based in London they WILL be able to attract the players.

Seventeen and a half new pence. Round it up to eighteen as the owner of Chaucer is a Wolves fan.

I think they will go up next season, be it automatically or by the play-offs, doesn't make much difference.

With potentially a bottomless pit of money, the London factor and a decent manager, they will be among the promotion favourites.

People are worried about losing our best players to the Premiership clubs but look no further than QPR. I'm sure they'd love Kightly, Seyi, Seb and Rosa!

The deal will be worth £20m only IF QPR get promoted to the Premier League so there is no guarantee they will get all the money.

But it shouldn't surprise anyone that this sort of deal will be happening at QPR with two F1 bigwigs involved.

I bet their manager was eying them up on Saturday! I believe they were interested in SEB along with us when other clubs caught wind of his release clause.

Interestingly enough, in a QPR online fanzine they said Olofinfairy was just the type of midfielder they need.. :D

Being a london club they could attract some decent players from abroad. I wouldnt think wages or transfer fees will be a problem for them. Money talks with the modern day player, if they offer enough in wages players will go to them.

Yes and no. Premiership clubs offer $$$$loads of money and make some poor signings from abroad. They do have an edge with being a London club but players do not like to take a step down to the Championship because they feel it could affect their future earnings. Agents do not just take into account the cash on the table, but also the prospect of their player over the next three or four seasons. By going to the Championship, a player is effectively taking himself out of the shop window for a term or two and no matter how much QPR offer, that may seem like a high price to pay.

Depends if they got willie mckay as the agent, then the contracts mean nothing.

They did once put out a team containing Hoddle, Bull and Regis if I remember rightly :D:D

Yep it's a really fair question. It has to be Moxey's fault that we haven't attracted the richest consortium investing in the football at the moment and that he hasn't thought of relocating the club to London.....

In other interviews their owner said that they wouldn't be doing a Chelsea and splashing millions over the asking price for players. Tho that doesn't quite fit with their manager talking about being in the CL in 4 years!!

But as we've seen many times splashing the cash is no guarantee for promotion, the teams coming down will have tens of millions to spend in an attempt to get back at the first opportunity...

A good sponsorship deal IF they make the PL, but if they do make the CL in 4 years as they want then it will be a bargain for the sponsors.

Telling us all that another season in the Rola Cola League will do us good whilst haggling with Le Coq Sportif for an extra £100 a year.

I think there is evidence that QPR are at the moment building a team to get out of this division, rather then stay in the Prem.

Look at some of the players they have signed, very good players in this division (Vine, Buzasky...)

The Rumours of Figo and what not will not materialise, unless they get into the Prem, which in all honesty, is likely!

I can see them buying fringe Prem players for over the odds money...Sounds like something another team tried to do!

Looking at next year if we dont get up...

Derby are building for next year, Fulham have a strong basis, Swansea i think will do well, plus all the teams who are getting stronger in this division. Will be even more difficult to get out!
