View Full Version : it wasnt a pen
just seen skysports and the minimal amount of contact, if any, was clearly well outside the area. my first thought when it happened was the player that went down was going to be booked for diving. totally inept refereeing. we were crap, but was robbed of the points

So what - it was given - it may be a cliche, but these things do tend to even themselves out.

Penalty or not their man delivered it how it should be. Hard and low giving the Goalie no chance of saving it.
Does he give lessons????

The referee was indeed terrible last night. Kyle getting constantly fouled, nothing given. Comedy timewasting by So'ton. The "penalty" that never was, and the comedy sending off.

i dont think the pen really matters. we righted that wrong by taking the lead again, then we went and $$$$ed that up ourselves.

Nothing comedy about the sending off, I was right in line, he lashed out (a la Beckham) trying to kick SEB, probably made minimal if any contact but its a straight red and the linesman was right next to him and saw it.
Never a pen mind, but hey, it was given and duly dispatched which is all that matters in the final analysis.

IMO, the ref started giving all his decisions our way after he'd awarded the penalty against us. Seemed like he knew he'd make a mistake.

Yet more excellent Football League referees.

From listening to TalkSport on the way back home last night there were one or two more Referees having stinkers. Mr D'Urso had yet another bad night at the office also.
