Barry Holmes' last game as physio tomorrow before he moves on to pastures new.
Barry has been a loyal servant to the club and with our injury record over the past 15 years he has no doubt been overworked and underpaid.
Farewell Barry and thanks for the memories, I hope the 1300 strong Wolves contingent tomorrow give him a good ovation.

It's a tough choice but I'd have to say the Barry man. I daren't ask who yours is?!

Is it a conincidence that we have had horrible mis-diagnosis of players return this season (Breen, Kightly, Craddock, Davies, Gobern) and that he his leaving?? Surely not, wonder if he got the boot, because lets be honest our injury record while he has been here has (other than last season) been nothing short of catastrophic!

It's got to be a toss-up between Barry Scott and Barry Bethel for me.

I agree it is very serious and really needs an overhaul of how we deal with these things. I think a lot of players are over-trained with no real knowledge of what the body can do or not. Muscles become over contracted and excess pressure is put on certain areas of the body. Then the player gets problems but still will perform in the manner that produces those problems.
Most physio's can be limited in their approach and only work on the problem. So for example if a player has repeated problems with an ankle they will work to treat the ankle but not necessarily on the way the player runs. Result is it does not matter how good their work is the problem will always be there unless you look at the total picture. This I dont think happens in the majority of clubs.

Notice how all of our backroom staff are suddenly leaving? Who's next? Clipboard Connor?
...We can hope.

Definitely not a co-incidence I'd say. We could certainly do with someone with a bit more nouse than our current medical staff.

Steve Kemp: Head Physio
The man with the precious healing hands has worked all over the world including positions at Buscan Icons - one of South Korea's top sides. Steve joined North End last year after spending two seasons at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Steve took a sports rehabilitation degree at Salford University and went on to complete a Masters in Physiotherapy. Even now North End's head physio is continuing his studies with a Phd.

As he was at Wolves when Hoddle was manager, is he of the Eileen Drewery school of physiotherapy?

The injuries are not down to him, but the return from injury statistic is dreadful and this is definitely his department.
Up the road with him ASAP

What is the going rate for a physio? If the working conditions were so bad it makes you wonder why he stuck it fifteen years.

I can remember hearing this guy give injury updates on WM years ago whilst driving to the game (always seemed to be Matt), I am tempted to think the same as some others on here, Clipboard next..

If the appointment of Daley is anything to go by he'll be replaced by Beverley Allitt.

Sorry, but glad to get rid of this guy. Perhaps the injury jinx may now leave Molineux.
Good riddance.
Barry Who?
Good ridance to another non perfoming Molineux pay slip.

We haven't had a great diagnosis, record, whether that's down to him or the club doctors, don't know, but whatever has been happening to the likes of Kightly seems a little short of criminal.
He had decided to quit months ago, I'm pretty sure he wasnt pushed.

If I was Morgan, this area of the club would get a complete overhaul, starting with an independent medical assessment by an outside consultant.
I remember this physio P rick being interviewed on WoW, giving off-hand quips and smirks as though the whole injury business was a big joke. I would have fired the A hole on the spot.

I was told today, by someone who works at the club, that Holmes was relieved of his duties mainly due to the mis-diagnosis of Kightly's injury.
Kightly could be back playing since Xmas if he had a minor op back in November.

So Holmes gets his cards for 1 mistake and Mick has made no end of bad decisions and is still in a job...

So Barry goes to CREWE!!!!
That would indicate he was pushed rather than went of his own accord.... interesting!!

" It has been a case of all change in Crewe's treatment room over the past week with physio Matt Radcliffe departing for Preston North End, with former Wolves physio Barry Holmes replacing him. "
It's been a $$$$ing merry-go-round. We get Steve Kemp, Preston get Matt Radcliffe and Crewe get Barry Holmes!
