The 23-year-old central defender has made only two senior appearances for City after a run of injuries but impressed new Cardiff boss Dave Jones last season when on loan at Jones's former club Wolves.

Cardiff are hunting for new centre-halves after the loss of Danny Gabbidon and James Collins and a loan deal would enable Jones to use his transfer budget elsewhere.

i would say so yes, better than most it is more of a info site it tells you when any news comes in and you make your mind up when you see what site it found the info on.

news now is a good site, bookmark it, you can check info on anybody or anything in the world and it updates itself every 5 mins or so, you can just check football transfers not just wolves etc.

I trust GH's decisions far more than I ever did most of DJ's and if GH turned down the chance to sign Bischoff when he had it then he obviously? didn't see anything that made him want to sign the lad.

Must admit I thought in his little time at Molineux Bischoff looked a decent player but as I've said I trust GH's decision.

I hope it works out for DJ. I had no problem with him, but have to say that I have greater confidence in GH.

I wish him well also but I'm with Essex in that I am happy to back GH's judgement as to whether he is the right quality for our ambitions.

Actually all this makes sense from a DJ point of view. The lad did well for us until he got injured and DJ does have a habit of going for players he's worked with before.

I can easily see Paul Jones heading down that way and there's also talk he's after Sparky as well. Personally I would be happy to see them both go.

I note that he's also signed up Sean Connolly as his new physio. I hope he's better at that job than he was at playing fullbacksmileys/smiley5.gif

It’s a good signing for them. Maybe Hoddle believes Lowe and Clyde ( and Little and Riley ) have a bigger part to play than many of us believed.

Or he’s waiting for Stubbs or whoever.

Many of us thought Man City were perhaps asking too much for him, hence why we didnt sign him - seems purely ability based now though, based on Cardiffs capacity for purchasing players at the current time... good luck to him, methinks he'll need it.

God I hope Hoddles got this one right. Selling Gabbidon for a million+and replacing him with Bischoff for peanuts seems good business to me, why the hell didnt the scouse freak do that sort of thing at wolves? Oh yes....we didnt make him sell to buy smileys/smiley7.gif

West hams treble signing of Gabbidon, Collins and Konchesky for £4.5m also seems good business.

It's a curious one this, with bags of potential to come back to haunt us!

He can't have gone for much to Cardiff so why did Hoddle turn down the chance of having him here? If not first choice centre half surely as a squad player on the bench he was worthy??

Personally I really hope thatthe club is going to sign someone soon to prove me wrong.

Agreed. Bischoff was in the bag and surely would have been a useful acquisition as long as the fee was reasonable. His injury record was worrying but Hoddle never gave him a first team chance at CB and played him out of position at full back. All this is fine if we clinch a good CB signing but if we struggle to do so this could prove a costly mistake (visions of the Duberry/Bjorklund shambles come to mindsmileys/smiley7.gif).

I would like Gardner but this seems unlikely. Stubbs would be ok but is almost 34 so has one perhaps two seasons in him at most. Can't help thinking we would have clinched this one by now if he wanted to come to us. Albion signed his compatrio$$$$son very quickly indeed. Come on Glenn/Moxey sort out the CB department. Lescott's knees worry me and Craddock should be our first reserve not our first choice if we are going to start upgrading the squad and produce a potential top two team.

Lets hope we find out the reasons why we did not sign Bischoff
before the Cardiff games. If he was to play a blinder against us it
would be very hard for Hoddle to reply to any comments from Dave
Jones.

Most likely, that and Dave Jones taking a cheap player that will also
give him a chance of taking a cheap shot at Wolves if Bischoff played
and remained without injury.

For say £400,000 surely Bischoff would be worth having in the squad. Still don't understand why Hoddle didn't get him. No sign of any brilliant alternative on offer and time is running out. bring back Bischoff I say.And if Stubbs or whoever comes up trumps have him too. Craddock is only ever going to be 'adequate'.
