44 @ 6 an over = 264, meaning England need another 131 by tea at roughly 5 an over

If we do make it to tea I think it's a fair bet we'll have added at least 131 at this rate!

I think he has by default. Anderson wouldn't have lasted more than a couple of overs in either innings, wouldn't have scored 17 runs, and if he'd continued as he's gone along in the last 18 months, would have been murderously expensive on Friday and Saturday.

I'm not convinced. As long as the Aussies have a target of no more than five an over, it's essentially a one day game. And they're quite good at one day cricket.

But we can set the field however we like, spear the ball down the leg side, etc etc. It's going some to score at that rate, for that long, on the final day of a Test match.

There is no way in the world the Ozzies are going to come back from this. They already are in first-class cricket, as you get batting and bowling points depending on how well you do in each discipline. As Test series' aren't worked out on a points basis, it wouldn't work. And this wouldn't be either, anyway.

I was 5 last time we won the Ashes. Don't remember it that well, to be honest.Edited by: Deutsch Wolf
