My wife is a Gooner.
She thinks JL would be great at Highbury.
I agree...but don't want us to lose him.
Always a problem...want him to play for England, play at the highest level, keep playing for Wolves, know he would do great under Mr Wenger........
I'm sure the same thoughts go through his mind.......

Wenger wont spend any money on English players. The only way he'll go there is on a free, and that's two seasons away.

How sweet.

But why pay 5m for Lescott when you can get in a Toure or like for Nothing or a couple of hundred grand?

Because of Wenger's policy, Arsenal won't win the league again this year. Arsenal biggest flaw is their inability to defend and their ability to purchase and play average central defenders.

Because of Wolves' transfer policy, we probably won't win the division
this year. Our biggest flaw is our inability to defend and our ability
to purchase and play average defenders.

We're not a clean-sheet team, that's for sure.

Compete would have been a better word for me to use.

I thought that for such an attacking team their defensive record is very good, i reckon their biggest problem and the sole reason they wont win the league again in the near future is their inabillity to score different sorts of goals, they only score fancy one-two goals, they need a long ball now and then or a target man for crosses etc, be a bit more direct at times, every team knows that if you sit deep and put your players on the edge of the box they cannot pass through you and score.
