i was discussing with my mate at Kennelworth Road yesterday, Apart from how he looks like he has soiled himself when he runs, does Leon have alot of potential or if hes just around to make the numbers whilst Ndah and Ganea regain fitness!

Thought he was very poor yesterday, seemed to lack effort. I'm not convinced by Clarke. We all want to see the youngsters succeed and his scoring rate is reasonable, there are encouraging flashes and then disappointment. I think he would benefit by being sent out on loan, but the failure to sign a striker and the current injury to Miller makes that unlikely.

He's a confusing player, seems to play well when coming off the bench but poor when starting games. I dont think the formation suits him, needs to playing through the middle, but he's simply not good enough at the moment to start every game as the main striker. I agree a few months out on loan in league 1 might improve his Consistency.Edited by: Sparky

surely Vio's now fit enough to at least make the bench

I don't think he's going to be good enough...and I feel real bad saying that. Maybe a loan at a Div 1/2 club would be good for him.

Hoddle as told Vio that he does not fit into his plans so i think it is unlikely that he will start many games. Would presume he would be sold abroad once he has proved his fitness in the reserves.

Hoddle's just bitter because Ganea scored against England during the World Cup 98.smileys/smiley2.gif

Spoke to Vio within the last month at a social gathering (thouroughly nice guy), bascially told me that Glen wasnt keen on him and expected to leave as soon as fit one way or another.

Not during the World Cup he wasn't which is when I thought Ganea had scored.

Obviously if I'd known it was during Euro 2000 I would of said Keegan
and not Hoddle and I wouldn't of even made the point because it
wouldn't even be relevant.smileys/smiley2.gif
