I just realised that today is the 4 year anniversary of the twin towers incident and considering the big deal that was made across the world when the incident happenened i find it very surprising that a lot of people have seemed to have forgotten.
Any of youMM yanks tellme what America has done for this day or have they forgotten like everybody else has?

Forgotten? Lots of programmes on the TV commemorating (re-telling) the event.
We're watching one at the moment and educating our 13 year old about what happened (and what's happened since).

FFS sake try watching the news!
Huge service at ground zero, featuring brothers and sisters of those who died. The name of every victim read out.
You don't die if you put the news on you know.

I don't think he was referring to the loss of life Southbank, merely
the way in which Bush made it into a war on Iraq, Afghanistan, whoever
else he fancied...

Says it all.

Not to say that your thick , you might be, more likely deliberately malicious, but the biggest excuse for a war the world has ever known would be the assasination of Arch Duke Ferdinand, or invading Poland.
Don't let that stop your pathetic attempts to attack George Bush at every oppourtunity though.

I suggest you see 'Blackadder Goes Forth' for a better explanation of why WW1 actually took place. As for Poland, we had an agreement to defendit -Polandwas invaded - we declared war. More a reason than an excuse would you agree?

I'm looking for the bit in the quote where it says 'i don't care that nearly 3000 people died'. If you can help me out here i'd be grateful.

And we are looking for the part that says " i am sorry about the 3000 lives lost but ....................."
Dont start on this again as it is in the past and a bitter pill for some, but not for the likes of him by the looks of it.
Dont try backing this sick quote up he has done wrong and should be banned for that.
I suggest you see 'Blackadder Goes Forth' for a better explanation of why WW1 actually took place.
Two huge European super blocs waiting for a reason to start. Millions dead. Theassasination of Archduke Ferdinand was the biggest excuse in the context VW implies (that Bush was desperate for war).I also think Poland was an excuse to start a war as we felt that Poland was a step too far in Germany getting powerful. So we signed the treaty.Sadly we didn't feel the same about Czechoslovakia.

I'm with you Visage, the amount of deaths that have been caused by the
Americans, directly from war or indirectly from supplying weapons in by
far geater than the amount of deaths on 9/11.
When i saw the video of one of the London suicide bombers and heard
what he was saying about terrorism and how he was talking to the
western world in the only language that they understand, i couldn't
help thinking that he had a point.
There's know way that he could have put the same point across to the
government through lobbying his local mp or through peaceful protests.
Although i do totally despise what they did.
Yet we only morn and remember the western casualties of war/terrorism
and forget about the many innocent casualties in the middle east.

this really is a no win situation and two wrongs don't make a right, was it justifiable to invade Afganistan or Iraq that seems more and more dubious
however do you think that if they did nothing there wouldn't be no more terrorist attacks. the fact is these fanatics are and have been for many years totally against and commited to destroying the western way of life.
the shame on the west is that we created the monster by encourging the taliban in the battle against the USSR in Afganistan and training people like bin laden
I am intersted in exactly which point you thought the terrorist had though Dartford, this is a chap who has benefited from rowing up in the UK yet bites that hand that has fed him why I would imagine due to brainwashing and an extream misplaced and flawed faith that is rejected by the Muslim world

I think you have me all wrong welshwolf,
I totally agree with what you said about biting the hand that feeds
you. The point i'm trying to make is that for voices to be heard and
changes to be made people are having to go to extreme measures. Which
essentially is what the London bomber was saying.

I happen to agree with the invasion
of Iraq and Afganistan, because the attrocities that were going on in
those countries was unjust. But what it took for those people to be
'freed' was the death of 2000+ people on 9/11 and many more during the
invasions of those countries. Although this wasn't the intension of the
terrorists, it did give the west the oppurtunity to 'help' those
countries, again maybe that wasn't top of the western worlds agenda.
My underlying point is people and countries are more likely to listen
to violence and terrorrism than those who choose to make peaceful
protests.

Possibly the saddest thread in the short history of this message board. Visage Wolf $$$$$es on the graves of 300 people (and exaggerates while he does it) and people defend him.
If people think those who have died in Iraq should have a day of rememberance join the "Respect/ Stop the War" coalition and campaign for one. Only I suspect that would be too much trouble for most.
September the 11th was about 3000 people cause it was the fourth anniversary of the day they died. Nothing else.
Rememberance day is about remembering those who died in the service of this country. Nothing else.
Holocaust day is about remembering those who died in the holocaust. Nothing else.
That people can't respect a day of mourning is the saddest and most pathetic thing I have ever read. If people aren't banned it says alot about the boards sensibilities.

What a crock.
September the 11th was the start of a processthat has lead to nigh on 100,000 deaths.
So you'll forgive me if I focus on the majority that died at the hands
of the US and Britain, rather than the minority who died on the day
itself.

No I think you are both beyond forgiveness and well below any standards of human decency.
In fact the perfect definition of scum.
