There front 2 of Folan and campbell could be a handful for us today..

WolvesAreBoringOnCeefax
26-12-2007, 14:43
Personally I'm OK with that formation, only change I'd make is Gray in at LB. That's the attack that ended last game and scored two, even if one was offside. Seems a bit strange that Edwards has come straight back into the team...

Afternoon all. Here's hoping MM has stumbled upon a magic formula regarding this line up!

Didn't Gray go off injured last game??

Hatch End Wolf

At first glance it looks like another 0-0 draw team ( if we're lucky )! Iffy defence though, even with Henry and Olo continuing to be auxillary defenders, meaning very little attacking play again.

Adrian_Monk
26-12-2007, 14:46
mick probably feels that in playing bothroyd out wide he needs a more disciplined left back than gray. Come on lads- do it for the manager.

Carlos#5
26-12-2007, 14:47
Yeah I imagine gray must be injured, obviously Craddock and Breen arent fit either so a chance for Edwards.

Glad he has started with the same attack he finished last time.

Lets hope we can find some form

Gravy
26-12-2007, 14:48
If he's injured how has Gray made the bench?
A left back is a must in January. Collins is terrible at left back!

Oldgold Wolfcub
26-12-2007, 14:48
The thought of Edwards, Collins and Ward in a three man defence if they went for that does not exactly fill me with confidence. The thought of Collins at left back again............
Not exactly a team for devilment.

Hope not have seen Edwards left back before and he is not comfortable there. I expect to see Collins left back with Jay left midfield..

Hi from sunny Turkey. Well that's about as good a team as we could have hoped for - shame he won't drop Collins. If this team does not do it I don't know where MM goes from here.

Looks like:

-------------Hennessey---------------

Foley-----Ward------Edwards-----Collins

Jarvis-----Seyi------Henry------Bothroyd

Elliott

Interesting, shame Gibson is dropped (IMO). I wonder what's wrong with Gray??

Don't worry MM has everything under control. The main thing is our team are " PUTTING A SHIFT IN ".

You can't argue with the line-up today though. It's what everyone wanted after Saturday's finish to the game.

You have to question why the players aren't performing though, and the buck stops with the manager.

Starting to seriously doubt MM at Wolves. I thought fans were being abit OTT 4 or 5 weeks ago but now there's no defence for the dross that we're having to put up with week in week out. Last season if we weren't getting results we were at least getting good entertaining and encouraging performances to give us hope for the next game. I'm regretting buying my Norwich tickets!

About the only positive is having a wedge on Hull at 6/4+ on Betfair this morning!

Exactly......you can understand a few bad performances , its all part of a season, but this is the entire month of December !

The confidence of this side has gone.
We have been poor all season and have to a degree rode our luck, Coventry Home, Last Minute misses by Barnsley and Colchester, we could be another 6 points worse off without thinking back too far..

Connor's appointment didn't coincide I don't think. We got up to 3rd(?) and won quite a few after Evans stepped down, though Connor may have something to do with it regardless.

Palace and Albion the only teams in the top 10 to win today!!! These were the kind of games we really MUST win if the top 2 is a target let alone top 6.

This is getting worrying!

as i dont think there is much chance of mm going i would rather get ian evans back asap, perhaps he is the only one who can translate to the players what mm wants the team to do?
or maybe was the tactical brain behind things?

Its not a case of the manager losing the dressing room. If the mananger loses the crowd, its usually curtains. And that is exactly what is happening.

Admittedly we've been poor most of the season, but has the last 7/8 games of dross coincided with the promotion of Terry Connor?

It also coincides with Kightly getting injured. Which is no excuse. Mick had more than enough resources to get in an adequate replacement, which he didn't.

Terry Connor has been there through all the poor performances of recent years, the whole back room needs to go and I feel the Manager has crossed the line of his own safety.

I personally feel 70% of the squad are probably good enough but they quite clearly do not trust what they have been given or do not understand.

We have less than 20% chance of making the play-offs!

Wolfman - you're spot on there, I think he has the majority of the dressing room, can't say the same about the crowd, I think the sheff u game maybe interesting and the cambridge game? If I were a TV producer I'd have the cameras down there cause I can hionestly see an upset

Said the same thing on the other thread, but when the confidence in a side goes , the heads dropped when the second went in....that would not have happened last season, or even at the beggining of this.

The confidence and fight has gone from this side.

Guess it depends on how quickly SM wants success

What a disappointing December - 3 defeats, 2 draws, and 1 win.
Out of 24 teams - only 4 did not even score a goal, naturally Wolves were one of them.
I may be wrong, but it has been ages since Wolves won on Boxing Day, which can only lead me to my logic that Wolves Management do not discipline our players during this crucial period, for how on early do we rarely win on this day, and normally always have a very bad match.

In respect of MM, it is clear he has lost his plot and if Wolves do not raise their game soon, we may soon change places with C.P. who has now come up the table, and Wolves may now go down the table, with such very poor performances.
