I have been a Wolvesfan since 1978, and have followed them for better and for worse. I remember the kick-and-rush football, and the liga cup finalwin against Forest, and all the promotions and relegations through the years. Fairly often have danish television shown Wolves, and sometimes there have been some nice football to see from the boys in gold and black. Then came the Leicester match.
I have read some fans critics of the team, but my expectations was, to get a fairly wellplayed and intertaining game. Boy was I in for a suprice.
It was an awful game sorry to say. My heart is still with Wolves and will always be, but my god it was bad.
The most simple things the players on both teams couldn`t do, and I was in shock to see the handling of the ball, or rather the lack of handling. Oh my god, we have a long way to go. I thought Mick was building a footballteam, but this was a bunch of kicking workers with no creative thoughts of there own besides Keogh and Freddy.
How can they kick and run so much? It is so easy for the other side to lock us down.
Take the tempo out of the game from time to time, and let the ball do the work. I was very disapointed to see that we have come knowhere from the 70`s footballwisely.
Poor poor. I hope that I was slightly wrong, for I can not see this team get up this year the way they played against Leicester, and o boy we would be killed in PL.
My heart bleeds.
