Watching the first half debacle against Leicester last weekend, it got me thinking.
When was the last time that Wolves scored direct from a free kick? Or even from a tap to one side and then a shot in?
I genuinely am struggling to remember one.Anyone help?
Hope you all had a a cool yule.

Naylor against stoke when we won 3-1 springs to mind. that was 2 seasons ago i think.
Not sure if it was the last though
EDIT:- Luton away last season when we won 3-2. Didnt Kightly's free kick into the box go straight in?

Righ then the last free kick we scored was against Luton last season (Kightly) but that was more of a cross and to start with it was awarded as a Breen goal.
The last free kick we scored from a shooting position was by Paul Ince after 2 mins in April 2006 against Coventry at molineux (2-2) Cameron scored the other to put us 2-0 up.

Best goal from a Free Kick that I can remember was Naylor against Ipswich years ago. Still one of my All Time Favourites.

This frustrates me to death , are we the only team that are completely useless at dead ball situations ?

Taking them or defending them?
Now you mention it , were nearly as bad defending them ...

GREAT POINT, but the problem is we dont have anyone in the team who can take free kicks anyway. jay does his best but no specialist.
mm has to get a creative midfeilder who can take set plays.

Perhaps Mark Davies can do inspiring free-kicks.......when he gets into the side, of course!
