Apparently pulled out of the Ireland squad because of an ankle injury. Great that he got called up but how long is he out for. He has been top class recently could be a real blow.

Nothing serious, he had the knock before the Barnsley game. 2 weeks off and he will be fine. Kightly is also out of the U21 game games with foot and hamstring injuries. He'll be ok for the Albion game as well

He got called up to the full squad from the B side as 7 defenders have pulled out for Ireland....not long after he was he made it 8 defenders to pull out

I'm pleased he won't be playing in a meaningless game. A rest and treatment will see him far more likely to be available for the next game.

Good news for us, just ashame really that he doesn't get the opportunity to win his 1st cap for them (I think). But I'm sure he won't have to wait long if he continues his form.
