This has gone round the houses and the reality is there will never be standing at top league grounds. get over it and move on.
There will be standing at some point in the future. At the moment, clubs are happy with seating - they can charge more and get more middle class people going. But if crowds continue to fall they, and Sky, will start to get worried - partly because of the loss of revenue, but mainly because of the loss of atmosphere. At that point, they'll push to get some standing returned, and because its what they want, they'll get it.

The Football Safety Officers Association (FSOA) is holding its annual conference at Walsall's Bescot Stadium on Tuesday and The Football Supporters Federation (FSF) will be making a presentation to the conference in support of introducing safe standing areas at football stadia in the top two divisions.

Sadly your opinion isn't required for the top 2 divisions..........

I don't think standing will return anytime soon. However, if it does you can always move to the seated area at the side of the ground. :D
And, by the by, anyone who thinks that by introducing standing instead of sitting will see a dramatic reduction in ticket prices is having a laugh. A slight decrease might happen (a couple of quid maybe) but nothing radical. If there was a significant reduction, clubs would be worried about those in the expensive seats moving to the standing areas resulting in a loss of income if the seats weren't filled by others.

I would love to be able to stand on the terraces again , both at Molineux & on my occasional away trips .
I used to enjoy standing in the Southbank as a kid and nearly being crushed by the Yellow bars. I always used to end up being stuck behind a bean pole as well but I can remember it was always warm in the Southbank on a blustery winters night. Them fatblokes do you have a purpose!

What was said? Was it not in keeping with loyal's usual subtle mixture of wit and educated humour?

First day back after being banned and he gets his post deleted by the mods.
Im not trying to cause an arguement but this site is better off without him and his abusive comments.
What annoys me is that if he would just grow up im confident that SL has something good to offer this board. After all everyone is welcome. The mods have enough work to do on this site without having to deal with posters like him.
This is not a dig SL so dont take it to heart but the ball is in your court if you want to conitue posting on this board so try contributing instead of posting rubbish all the time. ( That includes rubbish songs every other day and poor quality video clips from the stands;))

the first game i stood in the south bank i saw crowds of fat blokes $$$$ing at the front of the stand, which is certainly enough to put me off. The atmosphere or lack of it at the molineux is nothing to do with whether you can sit or stand, it's down to the fans feeling cheated by the club and football in general, and apathy at our years of lack of success under the misconception that we have a divine right to challenge for a champions league place.

For the big games I probably stand for most of the match & for the rest I probably stand for about 10 per cent. (Under Hoddle I mostly sat & slept) I would welcome terraces back at the Mol, in the corners, as long as people had the choice to go there or not.
