Good news about Jarvis but shame for Gobern and just hope it's not another long set back.
Will be interesting to see if Rosa gets on the scoresheet again.

I feel sorry for Gobern he doesn't seem to have much luck

Know what you mean mate.
A young lad with lots of talent, sound like Murray afew years back by chance?

At least his agent can talk him through the long spells on the sidelines........
Expect the "slight" injury to become a injury nightmare and next May Gobern will announce he is ready to return only to be struck down by a freak foot injury after a bottle of squeezy marmite falls out of his cupboard and bounces off his foot

Ikeme, Clyde, O'conner to name a few others, hope Davies isn't also going the same way

Vital football. The facts, first.
On the official site it states "Jarvis could well be in line for a place on the bench for Saturday's game", so I guess we can forget about him starting.
My question would be - if Ward doesn't make it, who will play left mid?

Might we finally see Rosa?

If you had, you wouldn't want to.

Highly unlikely and if Ward S is still unfit and with Gobern injured again then really don't know who MM will play. Could possibly be Keogh wide left?

To be fair, we have five options to play on the left of midfield - Jarvis, Ward, Gobern, Gray and Gleeson. It's not often they'll all be unavailable at the same time, oddly they are set to be on Saturday!

True DW but having options doesn't necessarily mean class or they are the right options. Ward S has struggled some games and loked anything but a left winger, Gobern has been injured and now seems likely to go out on loan, when fit, whilst Gray is the only decent LB so wold hope he remains there. That leaves Jarvis and Gleeson neither of whom have been tried as yet.
As regards your last coment, well Ward S hopes to be fit and Jarvis may be?

Mulgrew has been impressing for Scotland U21s on left midfield.
You never know..

I am surprised we were planning to put Gobern out on loan, having seen him last season when fit he was a million times better than Ward has been so far.
WTF is Gibson??????:confused::(

I take it you didn't see Ward against Coventry before he got injured then?

The whole point of putting players out on loan is that they have more chance of regular starts and getting up to proper match fitness and confidence.

If Ward isn't fit we will probably see Mulgrew with Jarvis on the bench.
