Just back from Leicester tonight from the England under 21's.
Kites was brought on with only 6 minutes left, was lively and was showing hiself up in the very limited time had few opportunities.
England were lack luster and it needed changing long before Pearce did change it. Cameron Jerome was brought on a few minutes before looked big an useful then turned into a donkey.
Kites though did as much as he could in the circumstances, England won 1 - 0 and hit the woodwork in both halves

He took a pretty rough tackle within a couple of minutes of coming on, hopefully no harm done. Looked okay for the remainder or the time but wasn't on the ball enough to really tell to be honest
I've seen him a few times now and what a waste of money Walcott looks like. Arsenal are playing alot of kids at the moment and he still can't get in.
Overall a poor game but a good result and at least Kightly got on in the end.

I agree about Walcott from what little I have seen of him. Surely this is a case of the amount of foreigners in the game holding back the English kids ?

IMO the FA should have never have shut down the national academy.
Whenever I've seen Matt Derbyshire I've been impressed with him, I think him and Micah Richards could be the England stars of the future should they carry on maturing at this rate.

I thought Kites did OK for the 10 minutes that he was on. He was also playing on the left and looked comfortable there as indeed he did last year when switching with McIndoe. In that Jarvis is naturally right footed we may see plenty of wing switching when Jarvis is finally fit. Hopefully he is OK as he was well and truly clattered just after coming on.
