Assuming we are there or there about in January, who would you like to see MM go for. We could all say Ronaldo etc,but striking a degree of realism, name names, having regard to where we are weak.
I don't know a great deal about him but Brian Howard at Barnsley is getting rave reviews-a goal scoring, pacy box to box midfielder. Now there's a thought.

In true Wolves style I expect any advantage we hold in January to be frittered away by a lack of activity or poor buys - McGhee most famously bought poorly but even McCarthy could have got a decent forward in on loan last season for the final push but didn't

I'd like to get Hoolahan from Blackpool, was seriously impressed with that guy when we played them here at Molineux plus it'll give us decent cover for the left wing.

Agree re Holahan but depending how the lad Gibson does and what the midfield fairs like with Jarvis and Gobern back may not be the most important area to concentrate on.

Cover for both FB slots is important in my view.

Would WHU let him out on loan and would Wolves need him dp? The defence has improved since JC returned and Collins and Edwards are more than good enough CH's to cover.

Surely a left back is a must ?

I like Hoolahan. I also like David Bell of Luton as a creative midfielder.

I'm not confident enough that our central defence will carry us through to the end of the season. I think we need a fixture at the back to play with A.N Other. If he's not playing at WH, they may want him to get some football and let us pay the wages. Personally, I think he's a class defender.

To be honest our CH's are about mid-table Championship quality not top two quality. This includes Neill Collins and Rob Edwards.

He is a class defender dp but Wolves at present have 5 CH's on their books but only one recognised RB and LB.

That said I have no problems with MM bringing class at any position and if a quality CH became available I wouldn't moan about them being signed but would have a gripe it if MM ignored the FB slots whilst bolstering areas with plenty of cover already.

Wolv3snam, yes they are only CCC level but I'd say recent performances have indicated they are good enough for the side to get into the promotion slots. Once promoted the club can worry about signing better.

We do have two RB's technically with Mark Little and Kevin Foley.

A left-back or two should be top priority this January with perhaps a creative midfielder aswell (you never know, if this Gibson guy impresses..) and as I said before, I'd get Hoolahan. A quality centre-half on loan wouldn't go amiss either.

Little has gone to Grimsby so hence I was indicating only one RB but yes in theory Wolves do have two for that place.

On hat basis a LB is a must though unless MM decides to start utilising Mulgrew.

I don't recall any news regarding Mark Little joining Grimsby.

Grimsby have recently signed a young Manchester City defender who can play right-back or right midfield mind.

On the other hand ...I am beginning to doubt MM's ability to let good players play how they can. He needs to create a team, not just a good squad of decent players. Last season he managed it by buying and promoting young players who were all eager to step up. Well they stepped up to MM's level. I dont feel he can cut it beyond that.. I am also greatly dismayed by the "straight from the shoulder" stuff ..it needs to come straight from his mind. He will ruin the confidence of too many players who cannot answer back or make any kind of defence to his remark. I think history is repeating itself with MM and it wont be long before Morgan realises it.

McIndoe was right to go, I think, and i suspect that all of this was behind it. He is playing the way he wants now.

Having said all this, I am not anti Mick, I just think he has hit the level of his capability as a manager and cannot push on. I think Toshack may have a point, similarly Roy Keane did as well when Mick was manager of Ireland.

I know there was gossip spreading during the Coventry match that he'd be joining Grimsby at some point during the international break, I wasn't trying to call you a liar it's just that I've been ill and unable to keep up to date with Wolves for the past 3 days or so; I was just wondering if I missed anything ;)

went to watch man utd v liverpool reserves last night, united fielded a very young side, nobody stood out for them apart from their left winger who i think was michael barnes(i may be wrong), liverpool played a few expensive foreigners including sebastian leto from argie and leiva from brazil, both stood out, leto is a left winger, loads of tricks a kind of chris waddle with pace(has the same mullett too) leiva central midfield did ok, liverpools scorer jay spearing was man of the match, very combative, box to box, and scored a decent goal just missing out on a second inches wide, also foiled by some excellent saves.
i doubt very much MM would take or even try to get any of the liverpool lot who were all excellent on the ball and hardly gave united a sniff.

I'd still like to see us go for Ridgewell (now of Brum) as Bruce looks like he will be on his way out soon and the new owners will be looking for bigger money buys. The big questions are whether Wolves will pay his wages and whether Moxey can pull off such a deal (doubtful).

Disagree. We have one Kevin Foley. He is light years ahead of Little who has pace to burn but, pardon the pun, little else.

I agree Foley is light years ahead of Little , but I also think Little has plenty of potential & can only get better !

The only addition I would like to see is a big target man to offer something different from what we got now. A attacking central midfielder to compliment Seyi, maybe Gibson is the man. I do think Seyi could play the holding role so I see no problem there.

I'm sure I read somewhere before that we were rumoured to be bringing that lad in or at least scouting him. I know what you mean about him though, everytime he's been on TV he's impressed me as well.

As for Matt Richards - hmm, a bit iffy. Wasn't he on loan at Brighton at some point and was very dis-interested in the cause?
