Terry's injured, I'm sure he plays as the left of the 2 centre halves for England, the experienced Sol Campbell will take his place. Hasn't played for England for a couple of years, probably won't go to the Euros if we get there and is he really playing better than Lescott (who probably will go) at the moment?

I know it's a competitive game but Estonia at home would be a good time to give a centre half, who may well be needed in the near future, a 'blooding' in the international team.

Well I think so anyway (plus I had a bet with my mate that Lescott would play for England within 2 years after he joined Everton;))

i think he should play. he is in brilliant form. Unfortunate it's the 'old pals' act which will stop him getting picked. Personally i would give him a go, he's earned a call-up

I agree, but McLaren won't take any chances with his job in a qualifier. He'll go for experience every time. Even against the mighty Estonia.

You know what you're going to get with Campbell. He's solid dependable and won't let anyone down. Lescott's a fine player, but now is not the time to bring in a complete rookie.

I would be annoyed though if McClaren brings in Fat Frank for Barry.

Are Wolves due any extra on the transfer fee if Jo gains an international cap? If so, let's hope he comes on at some stage in the game even if he doesn't start.
Also, Terry may need a knee operation and that should surely give him a chance soon.

Its Estonia for christs sake, if he aint good enough to be considered for this game, then he obviously isn't ever gonna be good enough for any other competitive match.

Campbell is a step backwards imo.

Cambell has been bought in do to a job tomorrow.. has never let England down and is arguably far more consistent in the prem than Ferdinand IMO

Lescott should get a run out of some description tomorrow as Ferdinand is 1 yellow card away from being out of wednesday's game... as the only fit centre halves are campbell, rio and lescott then its unlikely Mclaren would risk having to give Lescott his first game in Moscow IMO

I'd love to see Lescott get a chance but feel McClaren will go for experience in such important games.

If England had already qualified then the game against Estonia may have seen him get a game and if truth be known I'm sure Lescott is more than good enough against such oppostion but you have to take into account who the England manager is.
