Not sure how reliable Club Call is.

Would be good if Cahill loan came off. Don't know much about the other fella tbh.

I'm not sure either, but once again I'm not certain on the reliability of this website as some get their gossip from the papers. I think I could live with a O'Halloran, Breen, Cahill and Foley defence mind.

Now you've used the B word in that line up... be prepared for abuse!

how can you live with that defence when you've no idea who one of them is?

Breen is the weak link, but until someone signs I do not believe it!
I just hope our defence can keep Hull out and then hopefully we will see some new faces.A bit off topic but I saw highlights of the Chelsea reserve game on SSN tonight. Sinclair looked quality in the short bit I saw. We should make a sustained effort to try and get him on loan for the season. I know we need defenders but this boy can play on either wing and upfront. He would be supberb for us.
Sinclair is a quality player and was earmarked for a step up with Chelsea this season which makes it less likely that he will be allowed out on loan.

This story has been doing the rounds a few days now, I'll believe it when it happens but hope to God it does.
Not making a couple of signings before the transfer deadline may well be haunting MM now. As I understood things he indicated he had no intentions of entering the loan market unless he really had to. Seems that may have been a mistake but if he makes a couple of signing at least one he is rectiying.

Interesting quotes from Peter Grant at the weekend on the subject of loans in general. He was moaning that premiership clubs are exploiting the system for all its worth these days e.g. by demanding 100% contribution to the player's wages, guaranteed start etc.
Perhaps this explains why Mick & Jez don't seem quite so enthusiastic about loans??

As I have long said - failure to significantly strengthen our ailing defence has been a mistake. A decent loan signing [or two] would help counteract this until the next transfer window comes by. Then IMO we seriously need to splash the cash if we are to have any realistic hope of automatic promotion...
