View Full Version : Tony Daley Dougal McGuire 17-09-2007, 08:51 Wolves new fitness coach :D broughtonwolf 17-09-2007, 08:53 Just in on club text The definition of irony? Hatch End Wolf 17-09-2007, 09:02 It's got to be a joke! Del Woppio 17-09-2007, 09:22 The most ironic appointment ever. Still, best of luck Tone. Big Mack 17-09-2007, 09:23 Well at least he's got all the experience neccessary! haden-wolf 17-09-2007, 09:33 No one knows the physio department better, K. Ashley as his assistant, Ndah had other fish to fry Simmowolf 17-09-2007, 09:40 http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/0,,10307~1113824,00.html kennyB 17-09-2007, 09:45 Somebody has a sense of humour! O.W.E.I 17-09-2007, 10:02 Bloody hell!!! wolvesinwales 17-09-2007, 10:33 No this must be a joke. I remember his long awaited debut home to Millwall , he ran across from the bench to the wing and pulled up with a new injury ! 'My experience as a player will help me in my new role ' Can't argue with that. sbridgewolves 17-09-2007, 10:38 Atleast he has got rid of that ridiculous haircut.... or has he :) HIGHLANDER 17-09-2007, 10:45 That's like appointing Pol Pot as the pope. IrchyWolf 17-09-2007, 10:46 I really hope that it works out well for him and, consequently, for us all. At least he'll be able to gauge what is a 'fair' load to aid a player's recovery and what would be more likely to exacerbate those niggling, recurrent aches and sprains. As for the haircuts, I think that we can brace ourselves for a varied sequence of colours and lengths in the years to come. I really am glad that he's back in the fold. In a strange way, because of the injuries, I guess, I feel that he owes us and I'm glad that he can pay us back with a continuing involvement with the club and its development. Del Woppio 17-09-2007, 10:46 You don't need to have been a race horse to be a good jockey. wolvesinwales 17-09-2007, 10:48 I really am glad that he's back in the fold. In a strange way, because of the injuries, I guess, I feel that he owes us and I'm glad that he can pay us back with a continuing involvement with the club and its development. Good point he does owe us a lot, I hope he's too embarrassed to accept wages for this role. haden-wolf 17-09-2007, 10:58 I really don't think he owes us anything as such, Taylor signed him, from what we understand against the advice of his medical staff, he and we were unlucky a fit Daley would have murdered defences unfortunately he was never going to be that player. For all the good taylor did, the purchase of Daley and the fallout from it seemed to highlight Taylor's bloody mindedness completely. By the way - Didn't he get stuck in when it kicked off on sheff u's bench last year? Looking forward to him squaring up to tesco's bench next derby game Essex Wolf 17-09-2007, 11:03 I felt bad enough after the weekends performance, now this. Hope to God he's a better coach for the club than he was a player. Del Woppio 17-09-2007, 11:06 To be fair Essex, he's earned his stripes - his playing record is about as relevant as his ability to cook. Kenny-11 17-09-2007, 11:07 I felt bad enough after the weekends performance, now this. Hope to God he's a better coach for the club than he was a player. because he was injured as a player this will effect him as a qualified and experienced fitness coach? trybalwolf 17-09-2007, 11:45 wot happens if he gets injured getting our players fit :D ASBO#1496 17-09-2007, 12:01 I felt bad enough after the weekends performance, now this. Hope to God he's a better coach for the club than he was a player. There has been a number of coppers who turned out to be crooks;) BlahBlah 17-09-2007, 12:03 wot happens if he gets injured getting our players fit :D I like it :D. All we need now is for McCarthy to raid Chester City for Paul Butler. Florida Wolfey 17-09-2007, 12:17 More to the point what has happened to the highly rated Kunle Odetoyinbo? Everyone I spoke to rated him highly. Kenny-11 17-09-2007, 12:19 More to the point what has happened to the highly rated Kunle Odetoyinbo? Everyone I spoke to rated him highly. Kunle is going to Reading. He wants be nearer his family. Fair play to the guy as he stayed at Wolves until his replacement was found Zico 17-09-2007, 13:16 I don't think his poor injury record as a player is justification to judge him as a poor fitness coach The 2 are not connected. Welcome Tony. I hope you do a good job for us. sussexwolf 17-09-2007, 13:28 Knowing our luck, we probably paid him a large signing on fee, he'll trip over showing the team how to use a skipping rope and be on sick leave for the next twenty months. He'll then leave to join another club who will then become the fitest toughest side in our league. We'll then sign Darren Anderton as our new fitness coach. Seriously, past performance is not always a guide to future performance (eg Frankowski), let's hope he does well. Boss Hogg 17-09-2007, 13:31 I'm now expecting to see Paul Stancliffe coming in as Mick's new defensive coach. Sheriff Woody 17-09-2007, 14:12 Welcome back Tony. He did a good job at Sheffield United, respect to him for coming back. At least he knows what the club is all about. Florida Wolfey 17-09-2007, 15:38 Kunle is going to Reading. He wants be nearer his family. Fair play to the guy as he stayed at Wolves until his replacement was found Thanks for the info. At least the neanderthals will now have someone else to pick on. ;) Hibbitt was King 17-09-2007, 17:02 Let's hope when he tries to lift someone on to the treatment table, they don't end up half way up the south bank. Swinford Wolf 17-09-2007, 17:29 At least we`ll get our money`s worth this time . Welcome back Tony . Paul76 17-09-2007, 18:50 Do you think he'll be able to do a job for us on the wing? Hatch End Wolf 17-09-2007, 19:16 No good, he's a right-winger! Swinford Wolf 17-09-2007, 19:44 Pity he`s not a centre-half ! Hatch End Wolf 17-09-2007, 19:57 He's only four foot tall, only got one leg that works, never been able to head the ball.............................................s hould fit in nicely in the Wolves' defence! HIGHLANDER 17-09-2007, 20:02 How about the 'bus wrecker' back as the team coach driver? Professional 17-09-2007, 20:20 Good luck to him- perhaps he can pass on some of Graham Taylor's old coaching tips to McCarthy. London Wolves 17-09-2007, 20:23 Shame Kunle is going he's a nice bloke. TD as fitness coach ? best of luck to him. wanderer24 17-09-2007, 20:32 Good luck to him- perhaps he can pass on some of Graham Taylor's old coaching tips to McCarthy. I hope not, Taylor was and is an idiot and his teams played the most uninspiring football i've ever seen. Good luck Tony, i hope your a real asset. Wolv3nsam 17-09-2007, 22:37 I'm now expecting to see Paul Stancliffe coming in as Mick's new defensive coach. Club text - Frankowski is the new striker coach :D:D Essex Wolf 18-09-2007, 09:30 because he was injured as a player this will effect him as a qualified and experienced fitness coach? Where did I say that? Just wasn't impressed with Daley as a player and hope he s a better coach, if not......................... Kenny-11 18-09-2007, 10:39 Where did I say that? Just wasn't impressed with Daley as a player and hope he s a better coach, if not......................... if not what?? Did a decent job under Warnock and only had a fall out with Robson because he didn't think 9 pints of Carlsberg was the way to loosen the players up before a jog to the pub. sussexwolf 18-09-2007, 13:15 Club text - Frankowski is the new striker coach :D:D Actually Frankowski must be our current defensive coach - our defense can only deal with useless past-it strikers haden-wolf 18-09-2007, 13:22 :eek:Stancliffe - What an own goal that was:p Essex Wolf 18-09-2007, 14:12 if not what?? Did a decent job under Warnock and only had a fall out with Robson because he didn't think 9 pints of Carlsberg was the way to loosen the players up before a jog to the pub. Only time will tell if he is the right man for the job but his last stint at Wolves was a waste of time and money, a total disaster in fact. Just hope things don't turn out the same that's all. Wirralwolf 18-09-2007, 15:06 It's like the USA appointing Osama Bin Laden as the Pentagon's security advisor!!! quirky_birky 18-09-2007, 18:51 He didn't do much for Ade Williams' fitness, IIRC. Dr Wolfenstein 18-09-2007, 19:01 It's like the USA appointing Osama Bin Laden as the Pentagon's security advisor!!! They deny funding him when the Russians were in Afghanistan, but then they would, wouldn't they? Papper 19-09-2007, 00:17 Silly pony tail and a pair of gloves. I thought Daley was a big girls blouse. What next .. Neil Masters as physio? |
