Reach For The Sky

Assuming that this thread doesn't get locked by an over-zealous mod, does anyone think that we ought to have brought in a player like Ian Murray during our recent pre-season transfer spree? He played over 160 games for Hibs and over 60 for Rangers, he was captain during his spell at Hibs. He is still only 26 and a useful player due to being able to play well in several different positions.
We have started the season with a couple of players already being used out of their regular positions, could we have used a "utility" player or is Karl Henry all we need in this type of player? Could we have done with a player who can play well on the left of mid-field or is it O.K. to have Steven Ward looking like a fish out of water?
Norwich seem to think he is worth taking a chance on and have got him for nothing.

Disclaimer: Ian Murray is not Matt Murray and is not connected in any way with Matt Murray. The BBC would like to apologise to friends and family of Matt Murray who committed suicide after mistakenly thinking that Matt Murray had been transferred to Norwich.
