Might not get 5 million for him now.

Who is Jones' agent? Southampton would do well to get shut of Jones, we once had a player like that at Wolves and got rid of him sharpish.

What a $$$$er. Big Time Charlie Billy Big Balls- what the $$$$ has he done to be worthy of such a big money move? Over-rated, over-hyped piece of $$$$. I hope no teams come in for the arrogant $$$$er.

We should totally empathise with Southampton on this one
I am sick of overpaid footballers thinking they can show no loyalty to their clubs
It's totally different to wanting a move but carrying on giving 100% whilst it happens
If the league had any teeth they would introduce a law saying that there is a minimum 1 year ban for actions such as these that would stop it in it's tracks

Too many players these days kissing the badge one minute, then wanting off the next.

Reminds me of a certain future African footballer of the year !

Unfortunately it's not just restricted to football now it seems. Ben Cohen has thrown his dolly out of the pram at Northampton and gone on strike because he wasn't given the captaincy

They should stop his pay and leave him to rot with the reserves until he gets the message.

They should stop his pay and leave him to rot with the reserves until he gets the message.Principles is next to Debenhams and ethics is north of Sussex.

It would be good to see a club stand up to a player like Jones for once but It wont happen because too much money is at stake and Jones will know this. If Saints leave him to rot in the reserves, in a years time he will be worth nothing. They are best off just getting rid of him to Derby for the £5m that they have been offered.

Can someone enlighten me? When did Kenwyne Jones become good?

I'm amazed that clubs pursue their initial interest in a player like this after he throws a hissy. Surely they must know that in a few months time he'll do them over too if he wants away.

Why is he making so much of a fuss when he will only be back in this division next season with Derby?

Because after one season of showing his skills in the prem he will be able to demand a transfer out of derby when they get relegated.

Oh so you dont think he will be loyal to them?
I have just watched the news on TV and they have interviewed a load of people who reckon that footballers should earn 60k............per year.:D

Most players outside the premiership dont even get that. And the players in the premiership deserve a cut of the massive amounts of sky money as its the players that make the prem so apealing.

But saying that i do think there needs to be a cut in the wages to lower tickets prices but while Man U, Arsenal, Everton, Newcastle, Spurs and chelsea keep selling out their stadiums then tickets prices will never lower

Exactly.
I'd rather the players took the money than the owners.
The players bring in the crowds, and the players bring in the cameras.
If players wages dropped to that level then just owners would get the money, and venture capitalists would be queuing to buying clubs.
