View Full Version : Whose going tomorrow?
Essex Wolf

I know this isn't Wolves first home game but with it being a normal 3pm KO on the traditional footballing day of Saturday I'm looking forward to tomorrows game more than the Watford one.
Having spoken with a few mates I get the general impression that many are feeling likewise and there is large group of us meeting in the town at, I believe it's called the Hogs Head.
Anyway whose going and if you are about come and have a beer.

Hey EW, am very much looking forward to this one too. Having been introduced to fatherhood only 6 weeks ago, I won't be able to attend all games this season but I'll be damned if I'm gonna give up my season ticket.
Therefore every game I go to I shall cherish!!
Weather's looking good too, which - if the result goes our way - should make for an all-round good day out.
Hogshead sounds good but I'm off to the Royal Oak as normal for my pint of gut destroyer.
I'm going despite this stupid kick-off time clashing with my usual Saturday afternoon pastime of doing the shopping and then washing the car.
I really wish the league would stop messing about with these ridiculous times and revert to traditional kos like midday Sunday and midnight Friday.

I'll be giving this one a miss and instead go to the powerboat races at Cowes.

Congrats on the little one and take the chance to get to those games whilst you can mate.
Yup weather does look good and I've checked it for the journey up and looks sunny the whole way.
May see you for a beer.

I will be in the Tap & Spile beer garden, if anyone wants to buy a few banana beers for me off scar-face.
Have to admit I'm rather looking forward to tomorrows game having not being able to make a game so far this season. Usually though when I am really looking forward to a game Wolves go and let me down.
I will be there and could well be in the Hogs Head. Usually meet up with my mate at the Goalpost but went into town for the Watford game.

Then go in with a half-empty attitude before you jinx us!
How will I know what you look like EW - will you be wearing your helmet or a red carnation or some such device?
I'd hate to start talking to the wrong person...

I'll be wearing a Wolves top. Does that help?;)
All joking apart I'll have the new away top on and be with a mate who although his 30 looks about 15 and has blond hair, no jokes please. Will be standing with big George from lower Gornal who is 6ft plus and shaven headed. Should be best part of a dozen of us in total.
Just listen for the southern accents mate.

Me (and the missus) will both be there. Perfect - a 3.00 o'clock ko on a warm August day with a long weekend to come. Let's just hope we don't go and get tanked after all the confident talk on here!

Thanks EW. Naturally he's already been introduced to the ways of the Wolves. If he sees anything with blue and white stripes he's been trained to pull a face and emit some milky spew.

I'll be there with my two lads - looking forward to it as well. We watched the Watford game in a bar in Turkey. It's not the same as being at the Mol and, of course, it looks as if Freddy will be turning out.

Essex, were abouts in Essex do you live? I moved down to Hornchurch from Herts in the new year.
Will be travelling up on Saturday - that extra hour makes it a long drive, especially if you get problems on the M25!

I will be there as usual. After last Sunday, I am really looking forward to it. A few drinks in the Goose and perhaps a final one in the Terrace bar is the call for me tomorrow!
Not looking forward to it at all. Working till 2.30 then walking up to the ground.
Why couldn't this one have been a late kick off?

See, there are still people in the world who know how to raise thier children.;)
I'll be "prawn sandwiching" it in a box
I'll be there for my first game of the season, and will be in the ticket office before the game as the dullard who borrowed my Season Ticket for the Watford game has lost it!!!
I'm also prawn sandwiching, happens to be my birthday tomorrow so looking forward to it.

I've traded my ticket up (or down depending on your point of view) from the family enclosure back to the Southbank for this game.

I miss that place; I used to learn a new expletive after every home match. My vocab hasn't been the same since I switched to the Saga stand.
Ker-ching! That'll be another £50 for the club then please.
Saturday will be expensive for him, has to buy his own ticket, buy my ticket and pay the £50 fine!!!
A small Stourbridge Wolves contigent will be there. Me and one other mate basically.
The Old Swinford branch will be there.:D
Don't know how we're getting there, so I'm not sure where we'll be drinking.
Easy to spot us - Just look for a 6' skinny bloke with a crew cut and a woman with lots of hair repeatedly saying 'No, you're not having another bloody drink':D
Essex, If we make it to the Hog's I'll say 'Hello, are you the Fuzz?'

I'll be there, with my 9 year old son, my brother and his son (nearly 5 and his first match). We will be joined by a mate of mine over from Australia - we were both junior season ticket holders in the late 70's (feeling old already!!). Looking forward to it and feeling optimistic. We meet in the Clarendon about 12:30 - along with a few old pals still in Wolvo.
Come on Wolves.....

I'll be going, first time I've actually been able to use my season ticket after the Watford game got switched to later kick off meaning I couldn't make it. Dunno where I'm going for a beer though (or 3). Probably the Western

Should be a good crowd...25000??
Blackpool fans seem to think they will easily outsing us on Rivals site. Reckon we will not have seen such quality support.

Went to see them play a couple of times last year - they can half make a noise - should be a great atmosphere!
Waterloo Road is packed already. Should be a big crowd. Glad I moved my car to by the mosque earlier this morning.
