I remember Keane scored 2 at Norwich on his but there must have been some donkeys who've also scored on debut, anyone think of any others??

I dont think that was his debut though but Newton also scored in that game and that was his debut.

Also Iversen scored on his debut v blackburn. how could we forget that game :D

I think that was given as an own goal in the end. I can remember the goal. He headed it but it looked to be going wide until it hit a nowich players head and got diverted into the goal.

Knowles had just turned 18 when he was handed his first team debut at Leicester on 14/10/63. Knowles then scored his first senior goal in the next game, a 2-2 draw at home to Bolton.

I cannot remember their names but I think when we almost went out of business in '82, we played Blackburn in our first game of the season. It was shown on Match of teh Day and I think two yougsters making their debut scored.

Got that completely wrong. We drew 1-1 on the opening day Palmer scored in front of 26,249! Mardenborough did scored but at Anfield in a 1-0 win, but I got it wrong it wasnt his debut!
Funny how the mind plays tricks. Ill put it down to old age!

A week latter Gray scored on his Molineux debut against Man Utd and then in his third consecutive game, he scored twice in a 3-2 win away at Arsenal - The News of the World awarded Gray 10/10 for his performance at Highbury. A totally awesome start to his Wolves career

I had a few beers with Shaun the other week, at my mates shed.(games room). He's a chippy now and lives just down the road near Rob Edwards. He's a good lad and it's a shame he slipped so far down the leagues because he could have played 1st or 2nd division.
He used to play for the same team as me but higher age group as a kid and he used to bang the goals in for fun. Like many players, knee injuries took their tole over time and he lost his sharpness.

I'm sure Tim Steele scored on his debut, in the 88-89 season, it was a night game at home, but I cant remember who it was against, I'm sure we won 5 or 6-0 though.
