Missed more sitters than Henri Camara and gets sent off more times than Carl Cort gets injured.
He still scores a few though but i cant see him getting as many chances in his league.
Might be a good buy at 500k but if its over a £1m then its a waste of money
I was going to say he was overrated, but i wouldnt even call him rated, if thats possible.

He'll get 10 goals for them at least I reckon.
I think Keogh, Eastwood, Bothroyd or Elliot would score that many easily for Charlton. We dont need another striker let alone one that would be 5th choice imv

wouldn't want a player with his attitude anywhere near the club.
No better than what we already have.

Didnt say we did, we've got plenty of other positions to be worrying about.
Just aknowledging a decentish signing by a fellow Championship side thats all.

FFS,if it aint the $$$$ it's $$$$ing Charlton!
Is there anyone else we can talk about who are going to be strong this season?
I know, here's a novelty, why not talk about how strong Wolverhampton Wanderers are going to be this season!

They are our promotion rivals so why not talk about them?
Have you ever gone to the pub and talked about another football side? There is nothing wrong with it maybe you should try it.
Talking about novelties how many threads are there about wolves compaired to charlton and west brom?
We want to talk about other sides if you dont then shut up and just reply to threads talking about just wolves.
Watch the goals Eastwood scores on youtube, the guy seems to have the lot, pace, can shoot from distance, can score in the box, from acute angles, can skip past players in the box and finish calmly. McLeod isn't half the player Eastwood looks.

Personally I think Watford, WBA, Sheff Utd and ourselves will all be stronger than Charlton. They have been out of the Championship a while and I feel they may struggle slightly.

True but they have the most competent manager out the 5.
Sheff Utd will be the team to beat, IMO. Any team with Beattie, Sharp and Hendrie will do well in this league.

If he was having a medical here all the above comments would be completely reversed and they would all be praising MM for signing a young and hungry player who has a lot of potential....

Yes but Robson will have to pick 'em first!! :D

They probably would.
There'd also be the obligatory praise for how 'instrumental' Moxey was in bringing him here.

No they wouldnt
Yes they would!
There would be no negative comments and everything would get twised and how come everyone's opinions have now changed. When we were linked with him a while a go, i hardly heard anyone saying no??

He did, and also failed to get them promoted by November, hence ToMo got the job.

When we were going to buy him last time the price was 600k its over £1m now. Since then he has shown to be a bad apple.
I remember a few posters were not to sure about Billy Sharp or Freddy Eastwood so im pretty sure if we had of signed McLeod then a fair amount would have been against it.
The fact is we havent signed him. If we had maybe you would be right and people on here would have been happy with the signing but i think that would have been down to trusting MM and nothing to do with rating the player.

I think so aswell. I cannot see why some bookies have us down as favs.
I've had a £2 bet on Sheff U, Charlton and Southampton all to get promoted, with West Brom, Wolves and Watford making the playoffs.
If he was having a medical here all the above comments would be completely reversed and they would all be praising MM for signing a young and hungry player who has a lot of potential....
No, they'd wonder why he'd spent money on him instead of Eastwood or Sharp.
McLeod isn't the latest talent to be unearthed, many clubs have sniffed round him for ages, nobody willing to buy him. Surely that tells you something.
Robson the beer monster could relegate Barcelona
I think Robson's record as manager is now getting exaggerated to ridiculous levels. Whilst I don't think he's a good manager, I don't think he is a really bad one.
Didn't he achieve promotion with Boro twice! To be honest West Brom weren't very far away from the top 2 when he was sacked.

ask Albion fans for their opinion
he promotes a cliquey drinking culture, plays favourites, has no grasp of tactics and is a general goon.
and that's what the ones who like him say.
the really nasty ones want to throw bricks at him.

The saving grace for Championship clubs is that the strongest squad in the division Sheff Utd is managed by the weakest manager Robson.
On the Mcleod issue, all you have to ask is why is has taken so long for a club to sign him?

McCleod will give Pardew more options up front and might be a useful impact player late in a game. Our problem is in defence not attack where we are well stocked.
ask Albion fans for their opinion
I don't need to, I am judging him by what he has achieved, and he has a record of 2 promotions with Middlesborough.
I said initially that I don't think he is a good manager, I don't however subscribe to this ridiculous over-exaggeration that he will somehow have Sheff Utd scrapping in the relegation zone. Sheff Utd will be a good team next season and it would be stupid to suggest otherwise.

A blind chimp should be able to guide that Sheff Utd squad to the playoffs. I'm sure Robson will as well.
Robson's two promotions came ten and thirteen seasons ago respectively, are they really that relevant now?

Just trying to show that he isn't as terrible as some on here seem to think.
he promotes a cliquey drinking culture
Beattie and Hendrie will feel right at home then.

And how many full seasons has he spent at this level since?

McLeod couldn't cut it at Derby and was a pain in the neck for Franchise FC - it is an awful signing !!

Purely the asking price. But when you've mugged Spurs for Bent, you can afford to waste a little on a gamble.

What the hell as that got to do with it? Kightly couldn't cut it at Southend, Sharp couldn't cut it at Blades! First time round at least. Franek.... you get the picture, I'm sure.
Im gonna wait and see if McLeod settles before writing him off, he's clearly got some talent. Defoe used to play up and got sent off a lot before he went to tottenham I seem to remember.
