Mills may be a $$$$ of the highest order, but he'd be one of the best right backs in this league. I'd have him in a heartbeat.

Seconded. I don't think MM will see Mills in the same way that Wolves fans do. If he'd improve the team, I say get him in.

Is that so? So why was he $$$$e at Hull last season?

With a choice of Mills, Edwards or Collins at RB, I'd go for Mills without a doubt.

I accept that.

I do rate Mills but there is noway he would sign for us after the reception we gave him when he played at Molineux for Boro.

Good call, but unfortunately I think Mick is happy with everything other than a goalkeeper now. With Breen established as a guaranteed starter I think the other defensive positions are covered by Edwards, Little, Henry, Ward, Craddock, Collins, Gray.
As much as I would also like to see Mills play for us, I think the chq book is locked away :(

I think Mills would be a good signing and would add a little nastiness to the side.
Problem is he's a reputation of being abit of a bad apple - though he comes across as an intelligent bloke when I've heard him on tv and radio.

I doubt he'd come after the abuse he got last time he came. I don't think i've seen a player so visibly rattled.

Incidentally, Mills is now 30 years old and played just 10 matches last season, 9 of which were on loan at Hull.

Excellent - a perfect acquisition then - someone to take the abuse from our own pessimistic fans instead of Breen taking it all;)

Or we could go and find a good one ...

True, but this thread was about whether Mills would or wouldn't be a decent acquisition. It's a given that A.N.Other RB would be welcome.

On a free or very small fee surely worth a shout. The more defensive options we have at the moment the better. Don't understand why MM thinks our defensive options are good enough - they aren't.
Would definately have him if he's available and on the right wages.. vast experience to pass on to the younger members and when fully fit and in the right frame of mind would easily be one of the best right backs in this league.. it wasnt too long ago he was 2nd choice for england behind gary neville.
one of those players that is easy to hate, but you'd love to have in your side

I don't think Mills would give a $$$$ about the reception he got last time - if we made an offer and it was the best one you can be sure he'd take it. It's just a job to him after all. I wouldn't want him here though I'd like John Halls from Reading.
I opened this thread expecting the first post to be
"is a T$$T".
OK so head ruling heart he would improve the team and if available we should probably get him, but he is, and always will be a repulsive T$$T.
Greatest moment of poetic justice when Henry made him look a T$$T after Mills had verbally abused him.

I don't think he is good enough his career has drifted, the spell at Hull indicated this.

He played for Man City reserves against our reserves about 18 months ago at Mol and got booed then

I would say, let Edwards take the R/B because the way i see it with Breen,Ward,Craddock and Collins already in C/B at least we could get Henry in the middle as both players are able to switch positions should the need arises.
We still have Little as backup and Collins to do the job.I am not all pleased with the options but the way i see it,that's MM's choice not to look at that area.Maybe he knows best.
Chins up! Up the wolves!:)

I seem to recall he doesn't like Wolves much so maybe the feeling is mutual. :D
To an extent a shame, I thought his career coud have been better after a good rise, but I'm minded Wolves could be viewed as a pension boost yet again. He relunctantly wouldn't get my vote.

Seconded. I don't think MM will see Mills in the same way that Wolves fans do.
He played for Boro & England, not Sunderland & Eire, so maybe not. I'm sure he wouldn't get booed if he played for us; probably turn out to be a cult hero, unless he performed like a pussy a la Claridge & Clapham.

What are some of you on about. Mills is not that good we could find a much better right back, maybe 4 years ago but not now and anyway he's a ******* cheating, filthy ****** bald headed **** ******.
we could find a much better right back
Who?
Available now.
Who?
Available now.
I'll have a go.
I'm available; I also fit the description of Who?. I'd do it for half the money Danny (did I say he was a T$$T) Mills would ask for.

Which manager, who's opinion we can respect has rated you as "much better than Danny Mills"?

How about Phil Bardsley on loan?
Which manager, who's opinion we can respect has rated you as "much better than Danny Mills"?
Whether their opinions are respected or not, my PE teachers once said I could "do a job" at right back (that is actually true) and Graham Taylor once wrote to me.
Case rests.
