That seems pretty fair, although the team that played on Saturday still have an extra day???!!!

They'd have an extra day regardless, and moving the other team to Sunday as well is a step too far even for the FA, not to mention a little bit retarded.

Certainly a good move in my view. Good to see a bit of common sense!

Lol WTF can they do about that? Create a time machine? They could give the team that played on the sunday 3 years rest but the other team would still have had a day extra!

More ridiculous posturing from the league, with no real substance. Why don't they just make all midweek games on wed nights, then there would be no fannying around.

Don't the clubs pick which night they play their home midweek matches on? I know we changed from Wednesdays to Tuesdays years ago, possibly under Graham Taylor. 1 theory being that if you play on a Tuesday, and someone picks up a slight knock, they have an extra day for it to clear up. Seeing as there are more games on weekends than in midweek, it seems a better option.
