Just wondered if there was any news with regard to ticket availability etc.
Would like to take the kids down for a look at the new players, will probably pile on the train, I know its a good 40 minute walk from the Station to the ground but there's no news about tickets on the official site.
Anybody any the wiser?

No idea.*
*I know this is a worthless post**, but I want to avoid the "how come 14 million people have viewed this thread and nobody's replied" scenario.
**And yes, Highlander, like most of mine.

I'll join in as well, with nothing useful in the way of information, but I'll be amazed if one of the MolineuxMixers can't provide an answer by the end of the day.
As a Cheltenham local I can reveal that tickets are only on the door, £10 adults and £5 for sprogs. It's a nice compact ground and a very good pitch (played a 6-a-side tournament there at the end of last season). Easy to reach from the town centre, probably a 15 minute walk from there and well signposted, 40 minutes from the station is probably about right.

Fantastic, thanks for the info, any recommendations of family friendly watering holes en-route from station?

I was going to go via train from Stourbridge...if its 40 minute walk I may be better off going by car...anyone agree?

No. I think you're much better off relying on public transport on a Saturday, then walking for 40 minutes, than driving.
Not a lady, the username relates to my surname. I'd drive from Stourbridge, it's only about a 40 minute drive and the grounds easy to find with plenty of on street parking. Despite living here for six months the acquisition of Stace Jnr means my knowledge of pubs is pretty limited. But if you come from the train station I'd walk up the old train track, called the Honeybourn line from there into town, about a mile along after Waitrose you come to a decent real ale pub, with beer garden called the Bayshill Inn, from their website www.thebayshill.co.uk
"Set in the heart of the town's business community, beside the River Chelt, The Bayshill Inn is quoted by locals as "Cheltenham's best town centre pub". With attractive friendly bar staff, this female friendly, trouble free venue provides a clean and welcoming atmosphere, and has been renowned for the last 35 years as the leading real ale bar in Cheltenham, sometimes serving as many as five Real Ales."

cheltenham is easy to get to on the M5, get off at junction 10, onto A4??? road and then follow into the town, plenty of parking spaces, however all are pay and display, but are plenty of residential areas to park at i guess, follow signs for racecourse and on your route you will see a sign for the football club
handy when you go on a afternoon out in cheltenham only yesterday

You are best getting off the m5 junction 10 and follow the signs to the racecourse, where there is a park and ride that will take you past the ground. Whaddon Road Cheltenham. The parking prices in Cheltenham are crazy and its hard to find any parking in the streets.I know this as i am from Cheltenham.

Ticket sales as Stace said. Mentioned a while ago about a nice pre-match pub roughly 5-10 minutes walk from the ground - traditional pub, large beer garden, varied selection of hand pumped ales. Landlord is aware that a Wolves contingency may be there, and is laying on a small buffet. PM me for details.

The football ground is not too far away from the race course. It is a good walk from the station. I have done it quite a few times when going to the races and you would have to get a step on to do it in 40 mins. If you have kids then a taxi may be a better idea. Not sure there are too many pubs close to the ground and the city center would be a better idea, about 15 -20 mins for a steady walk to the ground, possibly a bit less. There are loads of places in the center, you can take your pick.
If you do not wish to go into the center you could consider exiting the motorway at junction 9 and come the back way to the ground, this avoids the center completely. Cheltenham is a busy place on a Saturday.

Invaribly i'll end up with my youngest on my shoulders, so 40 minutes of piggy backing might just finish me off, will probably get train down, then bus into Cheltenham, or maybe taxi to this pub you speak off, will check out where that is later. Thanks for the info guys.

Kemble Brewery Inn is indeed a good choice, and the landlord is expecting a bunch of Wolves fans - very close to the ground too.

How likely is this game to go ahead in light of the nightmare situation in the Cheltenham & Gloucester area with the floods. Talk is that there may be power & water supply issues so thinking odds are that the game may be called off.

It's not looking good at the moment, I'm afraid - we're hearing that we may be without water for anything between 7-14 days... I'm only able to stay at work because they're shipping in bottled water and portaloos.
I can't see the game taking place if there are no toilets.
EDIT: Although Cheltenham seem to think the game will still take place: http://www.cheltenhamtownfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10434~1077282,00.html
