Gone to Sheffield United, I think they're building the strongest squad on paper, but with the clueless buffoon Robson in charge who knows how they'll fayre?!

Good signing for them but he does likes a good drink on a night out, i remember seeing him out in Brum a few years back with Peter Crouch, his mates had to carry him down the stairs, his legs had completely gone. Should fit in well with Robson.

Very good signing. Can't think of a better midfielder in the division.

Excellent signing for them. He's a great player in this league.

He and Robson will get on like a house on fire then

Agreed

Without him on loan, stoke would have been nowhere near the play offs last year

I think Sheff U and Charlton will be our main threat for the top two places.

He was very good when he was on loan initially earlier on in the season, but not as effective in his second spell it has to be said. I agree with them having the strongest squad

If Warnock was still there with Sharp & Hendrie they'd walk this league.

Thank god Robbo's there then!!

Agree with Sheffield being 1 of our main threats with the players they're starting to add but I'm not entirely convinced about Charlton. I reckon the amount of changes and adjustment needed may count against them - You could argue our situation going into the start of last season but there will be a large amount of pressure and expectancy at the club that we didn't have to content with. Watford, I guess will be there or there abouts though.

I'm not sure people should write him off as a s*** manager too soon. He has 3 promotions under his belt from this division.

Kightly.

Edit: Infact, if I had the opportunity the only starting player I would even consider swapping with Hendrie would be Seyi and then I'd only consider it.

Hendrie is a decent player but a bad apple and a high earner. He'll more than likely do very well for Sheff Utd but i still wouldn't want him here.

Sorry Roffey but Robson is a terrible manager. Fair enough, three promotions but look at all the money he squandered.

3 promotions, how many seasons in Championship? I'm not saying he is the best manager in the world, but considering we have achieved 1 promotion in the best part of 15 years or so, his record IN THIS DIVISION is good.

All I'm saying is I wouldn't want him here, thats for sure. Would you?

NB - He also relegated Bradford from this division and failed to get possibly the best team in the division performing anywhere near their potential last year. His recent managerial record isn't that good imo.

Let's put it this way - I'd be extremely disappointed if Robson was manager here.

I'd pick Kightly over Hendrie 100 times out of 100. Not to mention he's probably a much nicer bloke to be around, although, with Hendrie's reputation, I can't imagine that's very difficult to achieve.

Nope, I like Mick. Robson has a better managerial record though I would imagine, and to be fair - how long did Robson get "last year"!?!?!

I just think people who are writing off Sheffield Utd BECAUSE of Bryan Robson may have a nasty surprise.

The draw of the working with Bryan Robson was a big factor.
Dear me Hendrie, you're even more stupid than i thought.

Robson is one of the lads though when he's a manager, which will appeal to players like Hendrie. He and players were often seen drinking in a pub on the a34 between Walsall and Brum during his time at Albion. Discipline was terrible under his reign, Mowbray found this out when he came in and had to get rid of a few like Quashie, Perry and Watson who resented a new manager coming in because they were living the life of riley and on easy street under Robbo.
