for me it was Rob Hindmarch very late equaliser at the Poorthorns
to earn a 2-2 draw even if it was a scrappy goalmouth scramble:)

Kennedys in PO final for me...

Memorable for obvious reasons, including the fact that that was the last time Kennedy showed any passion and enthusiam in a Wolves shirt...

I was in shock for too long to actually think about the goal so can't count that as being memorable..... his goal at stockport was special though - it didn't mean that much to be honest but what a goal!

Remember both of those well. The Stockport game was also the game where the Wolves fans were throwing snowballs at their keeper unless I'm mistaken. Kennedy hit the ball and it went like a rocket into the back of the net.

Bothroyd @ Leeds.

Kennedy's play off final goal was the most memorable, but Bully's back of the head to volley against Scotland was a joy to behold if that counts.

Alex Rae at Reading.. we'd been battered for most of the game and i dont know how we were still winning on aggregate in honesty

the ball trickled in the bottom corner in what appeared to be slow motion from where i was stood.. sparked sheer mayhem and relief at the same time, followed by the longest 6 minutes of my life..

1. Bully's 25 yard rocket away at Port Vale - the one where they'd cut the grass in big circles.

2. Bully's header in front of the old North Bank against the Villa - the one where he headed it in and Nigel Spink knocked him out before he saw it cross the line.

3. Michael Branch's against Dave Peasant - the one where he was supposed to kick the ball out of play for an injury...

4. Bothroyd's goal last season against the S**** - my last game before I moved the US.

Someone should do a YouTube vid of the goals on this thread - there's some crackers.

Bully's late winner at the Crem, it felt like we had returned from the dead to me. The pride I felt when he scored at Hampden Park, Jesus H Christ!

Far too many to choose from really, that Kennedy will take some beating for importance and emotion!

There are significant goals and great goals......significant ones include Bully's winner (2-1) or Rob Hindmarch's tap in at the Crem (1-1), or indeed alex rae's shot on the turn at reading. Colin Camerons header v man city to give us our first premiership win.

For great goals - Bully's crackers V Hereford away, left footer V Bolton home, away to tranmere, or overhead kick v chester (never seen it on video). To be fair, Bully has scored so many fantastic goals using power and precision the list would be endless. He scored 4 super goals in a sherpa van game v port vale (2 headers, a chip, and a rasping shot) that epitomised all of his qualities. Alex Rae's blockbuster at Bolton is probably the hardest shot i have ever seen. Whilst kennedy at stockport or the superbly struck playoff final goal. Finally, kennedys goal in the 3-2 win at home to newcastle - from one end of the pitch to the other - a fantastic goal.

I could go back to waggys goal in the snow v Aresenal, or quite a few for King John or King Ken!

I honestly couldn't relax until injury time when I knew it was probably physically impossible to score 3 goals in the time left. Injury time in Cardiff was a spiritual experience for most Wolves fans!

I remember Steve Daley scoring a header from just inside the box.

He was running at full pelt towards the ball with his neck stretched to its limit.

The ball flew into the net like a rocket.

It was a night game,i dont know whether it was the best goal i've seen, but it has certainly stuck in my mind.

Ned Kelly against Leicester in the FA Cup, 94(?)
We cleared a Leicester attack, along the gound towards Kelly, who let the ball run through his legs as he span past his man and crossed the half-way line. He spread the ball wide to Goodman, who 'bombed' down the right, and crossed in from about 25 yards out. Kelly then connected with a diving header from 15 yards out, onion bag bulges. Wickid.

That was the best counter-attack I've seen at Molineux (scored by Wolves at any rate). But the best goal I've ever seen was Dennison vs Man City, when he bent it past the keeper (Weaver?) from the edge of the box.

It reminded me of the banana kicks on Sensi Soccer.

Shout. I was sat in the Billy Wright, and directly behind the initial direction of the shot. It was going about 6 yards wide until the last minute and swerved in dramatically. I seem to remember it being more like 23-25 yards out than bein on the edge though?

For me it has to be Bullys last minute goal against the Blues. A game that we looked to have lost only 5 minutes earlier. Molineux really did erupt.

Best 2 other "mentals" i've been in were Rae at Reading and Bothroyd at home to Albion. Remember reading one Reading fans view on the Wolves celebration to the Rae goal as "the best mental i've ever seen, like a box of maggots" :D

Most memorable goal for me was the Peter Knowles overhead kick versus Newcastle in a 5-0 victory '68 '69 season. not only was it the first overhead kick goal I had ever seen, but from the edge of the penalty area  I've never seen an 'overhead' special to match that.
To think what we could have achieved if it were not for the calling of the Jovo's

Also bully's last minute winner against Albion 89' 90 for the sheer emotion. Yet strangely overlooked, and perhaps in any other season would have been rightly lauded, was Bully's winner against Albion at the Molineux in the return fixture. Not only memorable for the reversal of 0-1 scoreline and being late on, but remarkable for the surging run with Albion defenders cast aside in his wake. Vintage Bully. magical memories :D

I really enjoyed Andy Thompson's (slightly deflected) Free Kick vs Ipswich(a) replay- 93/94 season, FA Cup.

Screamer.... Can't remember which 2 players were involved but it was well worked as 1 played it through the others legs to lay it off to Thommo before he smashed it! Wolves won 2-1 to go on and play Chelsea but lost 1-0.

I remember a Dean Richards daisy cutter at Barnsley. Shot from the corner of the area and snuck in the back post. Everyone went absolutely mental.

It was between us and Barnsley to go up that year and the goal and win looked like we had done it.

Not one I witnessed live but Kenny Hibbit's volley in the '74 league cup final used to give me goosebumps. Just the sheer grace of it. Then my brother bought me the video one Christmas and in the post-match interview the great man says "Ah misseet eet." Oh, the irony.

To me Hibbitt will always sum up the true spirit of British football.
110% work and effort. Its a pity many of a younger fans never had the pleasure of seeing him play for us. I cant understand how he doesn't feature more in our memorabilia/merchandise etc.
In 75/75 season he scored 17 goals including 4 against Newcastle and in 76/77 18 goals. Altogether 114 goals. Not bad for a midfielder.

Bully v Bloose was special and typical of the great man. Miller's last minute equaliser v Liverpool just days after his Man Utd winner is sadly overlooked. Dennison v Man City and Sheff Utd and Ince v Luton or Ganea's swet finish before leaping into the North Bank.

Dougie Freedman against Swindon I think. Bully got sent off in that game and Paul Simpson also scored from the halfway line. But Freedman was about 30 yards out and with one touch got the ball out of his feet, he was in acres and I thought he was going to run with it but he just hit it with the outside of his boot. Great goal.

As he took the ball towards the FB on the right wing there has a quiet anticipation in the Stan Cullis I stood up and shouted "cut inside and shooooot!", Robbie duly obliged and I took my bow!

Gotta be Robbie Vs Burnley @ Wembley for emotion and Bully away at Newport a sliced volley that got us promotion, we were on our way back, great days.

Two goals.
1.Kenny Hibbitt scores 1-0(think it was) against Everton at Molineux back in January 1978.That goal made me a lifelong Wolves supporter.
2.Andy Grays winner against Forest at Wembley 1980.Football,ultimately,is about winning titles. This was our latest title of some magnitude. The only one Wolves has won since I became aware of the club.I hope to live long enough to be able to experience another one-but I am not banking on it exactly.

I have to agree with Bully vs Blues in 95/96 - just pips Rae's neat piroutte and finish against Reading in the play offs.

Never have I gone so mad at a Wolves goal.

Most memorable away goal at Molineux has to be Daniel Dichio for QPR in 1995. Amazing, volley/overhead kick from the halfway line (if my memory serves me correctly or am I going mad?).

Believe it was against Stockport, scored up the North bank in 1st half. Was right behind it, knew it was in as soon as he hit it.

There's so many goals by Bull, remember one he scored at Norwich, think in a 3-2 win, when Corica tackled their defender and Bull ran onto the ball, and just curled/chipped it over their keeper first time from about 30 yards into the top left hand corner. Remember the papers saying 'Had it come from the boot of Cantona, we'd be saying goal of the season'!!!

Most memorable 'goal' that I've witnessed though, Don Goodman's penalty in that shootout against Sheff Wed to complete the comeback from 3-0 down. Pure bedlam:eek:

Number one has to Bully's 1st goal in an England shirt. The hairs still stand up on the back of my neck when I remember the ball coming over and him going up for it, reacting quickest when he hit the ground and thumping it past the keeper.

Number 2 would be John De Wolf's penalty against Sheffield Wednesday in that FA Cup night match. The phrase nerves of steel was created for that man and that moment. It was the catalyst for the most remarkable comeback I've ever witnessed live and his face when he turned back to come towards the penalty spot was an absolute picture.

this was my first ever away game, remember it well - was the first time I heard a few chants, such as the "cor-ee-ka-ka cor-ee-ka-ka" chant at erm Corica and also the away fan chant of "it's all gone quiet over there.. and there... and there.. and there". Fancy celebrating a GT goal against Palace, it was a great day out. IIRC it was the season we couldn't buy a home win, but our away record was fantastic.

PS yes Corica got the first two, then it was 2-1 then 2-2 then GT headed (i think) the winner late on.
