As the official WWFC-site can report, SwedeWolves have voted Matt Murray for SwedeWolves Player Of The Year 2006/7.

And Truls had a niiice trophy (http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/0,,10307~1074956,00.html) - a small goalie figure - for Murray today in Ireland.

Personally, I voted for Seyi George, but Matt winning the title is ok with me

Its the ninth time SwedeWolves votes for a POTY.
The list so far is:
1998/99 Robbie Keane
1999/00 Ludovic Pollet
2000/01 Lee Naylor
2001/02 Joleon Lescott
2002/03 Matt Murray
2003/04 Alex Rae
2004/05 Joleon Lescott
2005/06 Kenny Miller
2006/07 Matt Murray

Heres Truls in Dundee in a previous year handing over a POTY-trophy to a Wolves player (can't really remember his name...;))

Yes, why not. And let it be paid for by sponsors, who'll have their name and say, a quotation of choice engraved on the back of the trophy.

Quality edit. Perhaps if your posting occasionally deviated from derogatory piffle, people would give your 'opinions' a bit more notice.

Pathetic.

Why not?
Because it's not a proper supporters club.

"Congratulations on your internet message board POTY"

Hardly a great accolade, and you could have problems when anyone on the internet could vote in it.

I don't see why it not being a "proper supporters club" has any bearing on it, surely this message board has as much validity as any other group?

The issue of potential abuse by sock puppets etc is valid.

Though not an 'official body', the forum is obviously regarded by the club (rightly or wrongly) as being a good cross-section of Wolves fans, and of the opinions of Wolves fans. This is of course demonstrated by the invitaion for 2 delegates/representatives on the 'Fans parliament'.

Perhaps it shouldn't be a poll as such, but nominations accepted from those with a pre-determined number of posts, to eliminate the sock puppet element.

If we could improve the quality of the forum - particularly the general atmosphere/attitude it might be a viable idea. While there are people who simply want to spoil/wind up/cause trouble I think it would be more trouble than its worth.

I'm all for it but only if the award/trophy has something in its wording or design that honours our glorious president Sir Jack.
