Silly question but can someone in Ireland establish whether Darren Ward is 5'11 as posted on the Wolves site or 6'3 as has been posted elsewhere. He has been described as 'commanding' but at 5'11 that seems unlikely.

Having seen him on Saturday, certainly seemed closer to 6'3''. Mind you, Soccerbase reckon 5'11'' as well. Maybe they measured him when he was 15 and haven't bothered updating it.

I'd definitely go along with the "commanding" description, it's been a while since I've seen a Wolves centre-back attack the aerial ball like he does (on first showing).

Thanks Deutsch and good to hear he's started well. However still awaiting a real replacement for Lescott ie someone in early twenties who has a touch of class and could handle the jump to the Premiership.

I'd say he was more like 5'11 after watching him training. Not as tall as Neill Collins

if its any help he had a decent game tonight didnt miss anything in the air and covered behind the wayward Mulgrew a few times , looked much more commanding than either cradock or breen which has to be a bonus !
