Essex Wolf 26-08-2005, 13:58 Kenny Miller. SOUTHBANK_BULLY 26-08-2005, 13:59 possibly sturridge when we 1st had him and neilsen from spurs Deutsch Wolf 26-08-2005, 13:59 neilsen from spurs Why? SOUTHBANK_BULLY 26-08-2005, 14:04 because the man oozed class but we couldnt afford to sign him at the time siunt 26-08-2005, 14:07 Sturridge cooper_J 26-08-2005, 14:09 Good thread Fielden05! smileys/smiley32.gif I have to agree about Nielsen, was a class act - a real shame we didn't sign him up. Its a tough question though, as the number of $$$$e loans outways the good ones 10-1. I would have to say Sturridge or Richards when we (strangely) loaned him before buying him. Deutsch Wolf 26-08-2005, 14:10 Can't understand the fuss about Nielsen. Other than one game against Barnsley, IIRC, he was pretty anonymous. He hardly pulled up any trees for Watford when he went there, did he? Mike Stowell gets my vote. cooper_J 26-08-2005, 14:14 Can't understand the fuss about Nielsen. Other than one game against Barnsley, IIRC, he was pretty anonymous. He hardly pulled up any trees for Watford when he went there, did he? Mike Stowell gets my vote. Jimmy melrose and mark walters did well too. Poor ones include roger hansbury, paul stewart, mike small and simon coleman. peckhamwolf 26-08-2005, 14:20 What was his name, Mark Blake?...was fantastic on-loan, then carp when he signed permamently? blake plyed 7 games but didn't sign- i think you're thinking of mark burke cooper_J 26-08-2005, 14:24 blades was good on loan. Jimmy melrose and mark walters did well too. Poor ones include roger hansbury, paul stewart, mike small and simon coleman. Mark Walters, I had forgotten about him! Good shout! Sparky 26-08-2005, 14:27 Vinnie Samways played well while on loan, should have snapped him up. Probably scared the kids in the family enclosure though. busbcadd 26-08-2005, 14:29 Guy Whittingham did well first time around. fenella 26-08-2005, 15:18 What was his name, Mark Blake?...was fantastic on-loan, then carp when he signed permamently? blake plyed 7 games but didn't sign- i think you're thinking of mark burke I am indeed, thanks. Didn't he also get punched by David Kelly during an away match? ginboomerang 26-08-2005, 16:26 Guy Whittingham. Salop Wolf 26-08-2005, 17:02 Guy Whittingham was a good striker, but Miller was great when he was on loan. Probably never repeated that kind of form since. I remember thinking we should sign him whatever the price. Also, was Mark Walters on loan? He looked very good and i was baffled as to why we never signed him. Black Suit 26-08-2005, 17:17 Guy Whittingham did well first time around. Abso-bloody-lutely Super Guy the Soldier! Essex Wolf 26-08-2005, 17:38 Didn't we have Mark Walters on loan? I know he played for us but tend to think we may have had him on loan a while? Norfolk Wolf 26-08-2005, 17:44 who would you say it has been? I love it when we cover topics that we've never done before smileys/smiley24.gif Edited by: Norfolk Wolf wurzel wolf 26-08-2005, 18:47 Definately Make Walters - If we had signed him permanently, I reckon we would have won the division that season. SCB 26-08-2005, 19:26 You realize he was only on loan - during the dire years - from The One Above..... http://img386.imageshack.us/img386/5889/madgebull6lb.jpg The Queen knew that - she was hedging her bets Edited by: SCB_ |
