I hope the rotter is hounded out of football Flitwick Wolf 03-07-2007, 16:23 To think some on here would have had him come in just to see SJH leave!!!!! Del Woppio 03-07-2007, 16:24 \0/ \0/ \0/ \0/ crowd goes wild. One of the gayest posts of the year. Wivey Wolf 03-07-2007, 16:28 Inland revenue to challenge their CVA plan to pay off all the debts.. seems like Bates has been found out to me.. could get a little interesting Inland Revenue do not exist - have been HM Revenue and Customs for a couple of years now Otherwise - Great news! Hope they make sure this ***** is never allowed near a football team again in his life. paddingtonwolf 03-07-2007, 16:29 One of the gayest posts of the year. it took a lot of effort to out-Inman some of your bilge. wearewolves 03-07-2007, 17:58 I think this could see them go under - not sure the administration deal will stand up to this. HM government aren't usually inclined to launch speculative court cases. Dr Wolfenstein 03-07-2007, 18:08 Inland Revenue do not exist - have been HM Revenue and Customs for a couple of years now Otherwise - Great news! Hope they make sure this ***** is never allowed near a football team again in his life. There may not be an Inland Revenue, but it looks like there is a God after all. andy-in-seat-190 03-07-2007, 18:14 Does liqudation mean another 10 points dropped? Hope so! Hatch End Wolf 03-07-2007, 18:16 You've got to admire the old rogue. Make dirty Leeds bankrupt, take over the club again at very little cost and then offer the tax man 1% of the tax owed. Then flog it on, as a going concern with no debts. Sorted! wearewolves 03-07-2007, 18:22 Does liqudation mean another 10 points dropped? Hope so! Good point!! Surely this means they will still be in administration at the start of next season? Please, please, please somebody tell me this is the case. Even if it isn't. Hatch End Wolf 03-07-2007, 18:26 It seems unlikely, but it's a lovely thought! London Wolves 03-07-2007, 18:28 Don't mess with HM Customs :D http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/football_league/article2022360.ece Stans the man 03-07-2007, 18:40 Any ideas how many starter homes will fit on the Elland Road patch? Dragonwolf 03-07-2007, 18:46 I think this could see them go under - not sure the administration deal will stand up to this. HM government aren't usually inclined to launch speculative court cases. God NOOOOOO! We don't want them to go under, just get 10 points deducted this season!!!! De Wolfs Mullet 03-07-2007, 18:52 God NOOOOOO! We don't want them to go under, just get 10 points deducted this season!!!! Why not? There aren't many teams I detest, but I would love it if they went bust :D Emperor Wolf 03-07-2007, 18:55 This may not be the right forum to state this, but I do not want ANY club to go under. I am NOT a fan of LUFC,not at all..but I still hope they make it. Remember,we were in similar situations in the 80`s. No club nor its fans deserve it. De Wolfs Mullet 03-07-2007, 19:04 I think it's an irrational dislike on my part. Dragonwolf 03-07-2007, 19:12 Why not? There aren't many teams I detest, but I would love it if they went bust :D Trouble is not ALL their fans are baby eating monsters. As already pointed out we were in a mess not too many years ago and to be fair we do also have our share of wimabigclub fans. De Wolfs Mullet 03-07-2007, 19:30 Trouble is not ALL their fans are baby eating monsters. As already pointed out we were in a mess not too many years ago and to be fair we do also have our share of wimabigclub fans. I think you've hit the nail on the head. The reason I hate teams like Leeds, West Ham and Man City is because of the wimabigclub syndrome. That and the fact they always seem to get things on a plate and wiggle out of any difficulties whereas other clubs have to struggle on. I didn't realise that they had any baby eating monsters amongst their fans... Dragonwolf 03-07-2007, 19:55 I think you've hit the nail on the head. There aren't many teams I detest, but I would love it if they went bust :D I can't abide Leeds having lived up there during their big spending period and listening to their fans droning on and on. But I remember 1982 and 86 all too clearly and what losing our football club would have meant and as such wouldn't wish that on West Brom let alone Leeds! PeteWolf 03-07-2007, 22:31 He offered them 1p in the £, then all of a sudden managed to find eight times that amount.... Bluff called. Pengwern 03-07-2007, 22:48 It would be a terrible crime if Leeds were not still around to hate. Life would go stale, bland & less full of joy when they experience pain. Bring back Blair on the same grounds! broughtonwolf 06-07-2007, 15:06 Posted elsewhere as a topic starter but this could be it for Leeds. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6277752.stm Inevitably because of the former stature of the club it would draw far more comment than Scarborough - doesn't make it any more serious/sad though. As pointed out elsewhere Bates I couldn't care less about - but I still would not want to see any club forced out of football |
