http://www.expressandstar.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/hennessey.jpgWales boss John Toshack seems likely to throw 20 year-old Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey into the Euro 2008 qualifier against the Czech Republic in Cardiff tomorrow.
With Danny Coyne still not fully recovered from a knee problem, Molineux youngster Hennessey could step in, having made his Wales debut only last weekend in the second half against New Zealand when Coyne went off injured.
And after playing in both Wolves’ play-off matches with Albion last month, 6ft 7in Hennessey is Toshack’s only genuine option.
Toshack is already without Spurs new boy Gareth Bale, who has been in light training this week but is still several days away from fitness following an ankle injury.
Wales are expected to play three centre-backs, with Lewin Nyatanga joining Danny Gabbidon and James Collins, while Cardiff’s Joe Ledley is likely to play as a left-sided wing back.
Jason Koumas - despite his play-off heartbreak for Albion - will return to midfield and Ryan Giggs will play his 64th and last international for Wales as a roving support striker behind Craig Bellamy, who has been named skipper of the national team.
Wales provisional side: Hennessey (Wolves) or Coyne (Burnley), Ricketts (Hull), Gabbidon (West Ham), J Collins (West Ham), Nyatanga (Derby), Ledley (Cardiff), S Davies (Fulham), Robinson (Toronto), Koumas (Albion), Giggs (Manchester Utd), Bellamy (Liverpool).
