Morgan’s imminent £30m investment has seen agents beating a path to their door thinking a new gravy train could be about to arrive at Molineux.
But chief scout Dave Bowman, who is masterminding Mick McCarthy’s hunt for new players, today insisted that won’t be the case.
“Agents have been on the phone thinking we have become Chelsea overnight,” said Bowman. “We do not have £30m to spend on new players.
There is investment in the club, but the club has to be run the same as it has in the last 12 months.
“That has proved a successful blueprint and we’re sticking to it, although the money helps us bring players to the market place that we might not have otherwise looked at.”
