The pair, who were both involved in Monday’s play-off final defeat by Derby at Wembley, have both undergone minor ankle operations.
Clement struggled with an ankle problem for much of the closing weeks of the campaign and only played some games after having pain-killing injections.
Phillips’ niggle didn’t prevent him finishing the season with a blaze of six goals in four games to take his tally to 22.
Both players will now head off on their summer breaks but are both expected to be fit and play a full part in Albion’s pre-season programme.
Boss Tony Mowbray said: “It’s nothing serious. Both Kevin and Clem have had clean-up operations. They should both be ready during pre-season.” Albion today confirmed a first batch of fixtures which will form part of their preparations for the new Championship campaign, which kicks off on August 11.
And there is a distinct Black Country derby flavour to the opposition, with three of the sides boasting former Wolves links.
The Baggies will open their programme with a trip to Cambridgeshire-based Conference newcomers Histon on Tuesday, July 10.
Mowbray will then take a team to face former Wolves assistant manager Stuart Gray’s Northampton on Wednesday, July 25. Only 48 hours later ex-Wolves boss Graham Turner’s Hereford United will provide the opposition at Edgar Street on Friday, July 27.
The fourth friendly confirmed by Albion will see them make the short journey to Stafford Rangers, managed by former Molineux midfielder Phil Robinson, on Wednesday, August 1.
All four games will kick-off at 7.45pm.
Albion currently remain in negotiations over a potential pre-season tour to an as-yet unconfirmed mainland European country.
Meanwhile, supporters are reminded that Albion have extended the deadline for supporters to buy season tickets for next season at reduced prices. Albion have cut prices by an average of 25 per cent around the ground and will leave the offer open until June 30.
