West Ham have joined Manchester United and Portsmouth in the race to sign Wolves' Ģ2m-rated winger Michael Kightly. (News of the World)

Yet more interest, although admittedly reported in the ever-reliable News of the World. Can't see us selling for as little as Ģ2m unless Kightly does "a Rat" and insists on a move. But then, I think he'll be loyal to us for at least another year.

Tabloid paper with column inches to fill in the close season shocker!

They obviously missed the news that we have a new owner and zero reason to sell one of the best young players outside the top flight. Along with Kightly knocking on MMs door asking for the number 7 shirt and not doing a rat/Chimbonda and asking for a move.

Nothing to fear (this summer!).

No chance on earth of Kightly leaving.

This could go on and on until the transfer window closes

Not going to happen. Not going to happen. Not going to happen. Especially for just Ģ2 million!

They were really interested in Luke Varney.
Lost out to Charlton-but obviously they got some money to spend.

There are more and more clubs now coming up with new signings. Not rumoured-real ones.
Isnīt it about time we land someone soon?

A little patience is required....lets not forget the bar relating to our transfer targets has been raised a little !

True I guess.
I am most probably a little bit too impatient.
Still..will guys like Sharp,Eastwood and such be available in July?
Doesnīt the options become less and less the further time goes?
What about the best deals, arenīt they made ASAP?

Emperor Wolf

Yes,that is true.
Is this a problem?
I see Capaldi going this way,Varney going that in the meantime.
I just hope we do not leave things til too late.
It has happened in the past.

McCarthy said after the play-off defeat that they had already been talking to clubs about their targets.

Don't worry. This area is one where I have faith in Moxey and McCarthy.

And they haven't even been on holiday yet!!!!

And how unusual is that after years of no action and pfaffing around pre-season? Moxey is beginning to earn respect from me....

It is only the NOTW but, if we match Narwich's offer for Sharpe I'm sure he'd want to come here. we have greater prospects and he can play alongside Keogh again

When was the last time Wolves made any announcements about players they were interested in before they had signed them.
Personally I think this is the correct way to go about business.
We will here about signings when they are done.

From official site - doesn't look like Kightly's going anywhere (http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10307~1031407,00.html) - yeeeehaaa!!

that is brilliant news and shows the example of what we are looking for in anyone coming to this club, Kightly's attitude has been superb since arriving here

That sort of attitude, you cannot buy, not only is it great for the player, but contageous for the rest of the team, (I include non playing staff and supporters)

Moxey, McCarthy and Morgan - sell this player at your peril!
