I think you should all own up to it :D kennyB 26-05-2007, 08:39 Evidence? Brizzlewolf 26-05-2007, 08:39 ok, plenty of people on here wanted mowbray as manager at one point ( didnt we have a lucky escape there! ) . I think you should all own up to it :D Well I wasn't one of them.....honest. Mugwump 26-05-2007, 08:41 does that mean i hafta go trawling through old posts to get evidence? kennyB 26-05-2007, 08:48 Yes if you want to maintain any credibility. Like calling someone a criminal without any proof! LOL. Oldgold Wolfcub 26-05-2007, 09:53 At the time Mowbray's credentials looked pretty good. With all due respect lets wait and see in a few years time what the story is then. This board was filled with mostly Dave Jones supporters for most of his time here. Now it has swung the other way. Anglian Wolf 26-05-2007, 10:15 Must admit SuperMick wasn't my first choice and I would have probably preferred a Mowbray/Venus partnership at the time. Looking back I'm obviously glad we made the choice we did. I don't honestly think Mowbray could have brought the same bond between players, club and fans as Mick has. The feeling of "in this together" - as witnessed in the defeats to the $$$$$e and the drubbing by Southampton - is one of the biggest benefits of this season. If we can maintain it then I don't think the burden of expectation that has weighed us down in the past will be a factor next year. Looking forward to August and just pray we can land Billy Sharpe - cracking name that. djackl 26-05-2007, 10:24 Looking forward to August and just pray we can land Billy Sharpe - cracking name that. Especially when you spell it correctly. Mugwump 26-05-2007, 10:39 ok kenny, i have a list of the guilty parties now ;) Oldgold Wolfcub 26-05-2007, 10:50 ok kenny, i have a list of the guilty parties now ;) Glenn Hoddle Dave Jones Paul Ince. ......................... Anglian Wolf 26-05-2007, 11:16 Especially when you spell it correctly. Aren't we the tart today ;) It's Mixu Paatelainen 26-05-2007, 13:59 I wanted Mark Venus The Weasel 26-05-2007, 14:42 Think I may be guilty of having him close to the top of my list. I wanted George Burley, Mowbray and third choice was Mick.........I still think they're all decent managers but I'm well glad we got Mick! Wednesbury Wolf 26-05-2007, 15:12 I certainly didn't want the ugly one as manager but as ugly as he is he has got them promoted, gorgeous Mick has got us another season in the championship. GoldenHorseshoe 26-05-2007, 15:52 I certainly didn't want the ugly one as manager but as ugly as he is he has got them promoted, gorgeous Mick has got us another season in the championship. Nostradamus? Berkswolf 26-05-2007, 17:25 OK its a fair cop! I hang my head in shame whilst owning up to being one of the guilty group. :( Berkswolf 26-05-2007, 17:27 I certainly didn't want the ugly one as manager but as ugly as he is he has got them promoted, gorgeous Mick has got us another season in the championship. Ermmmmmmm Jumping the gun a bit mate. Or am I in a time warp? Stewarton Wolf 26-05-2007, 17:29 Why is Mowbray such a bad manager - playoff final 4 wins out of 5 against us. I really like the way his sides play, his Hibs side always played well, and even if they fail they will be a big threat again next season wanderer24 26-05-2007, 20:13 I wanted Ince but im glad we got MM. I even happier we didn't get Mowbray not just because he's a miserable git, but because given the squad he inherited, he hasn't really taken Albion anywhere. Yes, there in the play-off final but they didn't get there convincingly and their squad warranted alot higher finish and level of performance. What would MM have done with that squad? Hatch End Wolf 26-05-2007, 20:30 If you think he looks miserable now, wait to see what he looks like when the Boggies lose to the Rams on Monday! London Wolves 26-05-2007, 20:35 I never wanted the big nosed ****! Lets see what he does after he loses on Monday Fickleasfolk 26-05-2007, 21:50 He's done well considering he's had to work with someone elses team. Maybe if he'd been able to do a MM and bring in his own team he may have gone up automatically, who knows. MM done a brilliant job but who the **** knows if Mowbry etc etc would have done any better? Come on you Rams though. thekentwolf 26-05-2007, 22:24 Think I wanted the Wolves fans favourite, Stuart Baxter ;) Whoever he is. Mugwump 27-05-2007, 00:14 i think mowbray is a bit like hoddle in the fact that they have both had teams that should have won the division easily. A top manager would have got albion promoted automatically. John 27-05-2007, 00:37 ok kenny, i have a list of the guilty parties now ;) List them then, they won't own up. SSW was one I remember. Mugwump 27-05-2007, 01:16 thats a lot of typing  Stans the man 27-05-2007, 18:11 I didn't want Mowbray. But that was because I hate Mark Venus intensely. |
