View Full Version : Help From The Club For The Away Leg Atmosphere
London Wolves
14-05-2007, 21:37
I have sent an email to the club thanking them for doing the cards, balloons etc on Sunday.
I have also asked them to help with the atmosphere on Wednesday night. The only things I have thought of so far is:
1) Hundreds of gold & black balloons to be given to the fans on the coaches.
2) Inflatables eg footballs
3) Also asked if the giant wolves shirt can go to the game.
Anybody else got any more ideas I can put to the club?

I very much doubt they will let the giant wolves shirt in. I think blow up bananas are as far as we can go...

Maybe they will fund our banner?

I was thinking about that but I don't mind paying for one. I don't think it will feel right if the club pays for it. Would be like asking someone to pay for their birthday card.

Sometimes things are much better when the fans organise it anyway...
have you got any idea on how much it is going to cost for the banner?

Could get some of those stands, like at the leicester game, selling flags, scarfs, wigs n stuff. Or are they not organised by the club ?

He will do it at cost price, obviously depends what he does but I think about £200. I asked about one for Wembley. Size would be 1m x 4-6m. Just hope he can do it at short notice. He's got orange, I mean Old Gold in stock.

They are unofficial. The flag poles were not let in on Sunday. I saw one kid in tears at the turnstiles :(

£200 for a banner??? $$$$ing hell. Can't you just make one Blue Peter style or something???
Any chance of the old gold cards which we could all hold up so we have a gold corner when the players run out. Cheap and easy to arrange as Wolves have done it once already. Be even better with a big Wolves head in the middle but maybe a liitle hard to arrange.

Why? After the game we can leave them on the seats like they did with the Tesco Bags :)
why not leave the orange sainsbury's bags on the seats?
For Wednesday's game.
One goldish single bed sheet, (think it's about 2m x 1m)
One person with a steady hand.
One tin black spray paint.
You've made us proud again.
For a club, ie Molineux mix, Bilston Wolves, or whoever, ok spend 200 quid, keep it for years.

Sorry, I meant if we could hand them out on the coaches or as fans are arriving at the turnstiles. We wouldn't need the Wolves head just a sea of old gold cards in the one corner would have a positive effect I'm sure.

everyone wearing colours has the same effect and the away support tend to be pretty decked out in those.
When I was living in London I went down to Tooting market to get some sari material to make a flag. Picked up some perfect material, proper Old Gold cost me about £3 for 1 by 2 meter roll of the gold fabric and then about £1 for some black material. Put it altogether and beauty of a flag was born, all for under a tenner.
Bit Blue Peter, but there you go, Sari shops are the way forward. Release the inner artist.......
Mind you, might need someone who can sew...

The club are giving every fan on the coach a gold and black balloon plus they are going to be dished out at the ground.
The cards are a none starter the Boggies would not allow access for the cards, time etc.
Other things might be done as well ;)

A nice "Golden Glow" like a few years ago would look nice at the end
